PRESENTATION
The group of artists ENFOCO proposes a poetic and profound approach to glaciers and dunes, exposing their
vulnerability to climate change. It invites us to slow down, to reflect from a philosophical angle, giving rise to
questions of a transcendent order.
Through direct and intervened photographs, as well as collage and installations, EnFoco recreates a version
of their journeys that oscillate between documentary and fiction, proposing a playful challenge to illuminate
the delicate balance of nature, one that needs to be addressed very seriously.

El grupo de artistas ENFOCO propone un acercamiento poético y profundo a los glaciares y dunas,
exponiendo su vulnerabilidad al cambio climático. Nos invita a desacelerar, a reflexionar desde un ángulo
filosófico, dando lugar a cuestiones de orden trascendente.
A través de fotografías directas e intervenidas, así como de collages e instalaciones, EnFoco recrea una
versión de sus viajes que oscila entre el documental y la ficción, proponiendo un desafío lúdico para
iluminar el delicado equilibrio de la naturaleza, que debe abordarse con mucha seriedad.

We are a group of 8 artists whose travel book is marked by an inquisitive mind, pushing the limits of everyday life
to communicate issues inherent to the human being. En el trabajo “Herencia Vulnerable”, a tour that goes from
Greenland to Antarctica, our glaciers preserve the DNA of our primary origins, a narrative that becomes blurred
with the advancement of man.

Somos un grupo de 8 artistas cuyo libro de viaje esta signado por la indagación, empujando los límites de la
cotidianidad para comunicar temas inherentes al ser humano. En el trabajo “Herencia Vulnerable”, un recorrido que
va desde la Antártida hasta Groenlandia, los hielos y la naturaleza en su estado más virgen preservan el ADN de
nuestros orígenes más primarios, una historia que se desdibuja con el avanzar del hombre.

 This exhibition aims to raise awareness about the urgent need to care for our ecosystem.
Under this unavoidable responsibility, we cease to belong to a culture, to a country, to become simple citizens of
the world, a place without borders. Preserving our planet is an obligation of each and every one of us.

Bajo esta responsabilidad indelegable, dejamos de pertenecer a una cultura, a un país, a un continente para ser simplemente
ciudadanos del mundo, un lugar sin dueño ni frontera. Preservarlo es un deber de todos y cada uno de nosotros

¨Tiempos de Arena" is a fabric between imaginary experiences and stories that proposes a
reflection on our complex link with a nature as fierce as it is vulnerable. This project arises from an
environmental research trip to Mauritania carried out by the group, at the beginning of 2020.

¨Tiempos de Arena” es un tejido entre vivencias e historias imaginarias que propone una reflexión sobre
nuestro complejo vínculo con una naturaleza tan feroz como vulnerable. Este proyecto surge a partir de
un viaje de investigación medioambiental a Mauritania realizado por el grupo, a inicios del 2020.

 There they experienced the intensity of the desert, the impetus of the nomads and the
resistance of nature. Submerged in its infinite sands, they soon understood that in the
desert time passes differently, clocks hardly exist and the wind whispers distant stories.

Back, they reimagined memories of a virgin desert, summoned their ghostly presences,
watched man and nature invade each other, and finally invented their own utopias.

Allí vivenciaron la intensidad del desierto, el ímpetu de los nómades y la resistencia de la naturaleza.
Sumergidas en sus arenas infinitas, comprendieron pronto que en el desierto el tiempo transcurre de
otro modo, los relojes apenas existen y el viento susurra historias lejanas.

De regreso, re imaginaron recuerdos de un desierto virgen, convocaron a sus presencias

fantasmales, contemplaron al hombre y la naturaleza invadirse mutuamente y finalmente
inventaron sus propias utopías.
