Introducción: cordial saludo estimado estudiante, en esta primera guisa de segundo corte conoceremos
algunos de los cuantificadores en inglés , desde el enfoque de los alimentos y bebidas, al desarrollar la tematica
y comprender su explicación, serás capaz de describir tu comida favorita y los pasos, las cantidades de los
ingredientes que se deben tomar en cuenta para su preparación, esta guía nos impulsa a que aprendamos
muchas palabras y expresiones cotidianas que nos serán útil en nuestro proceso de interacción en ingles con
otras personas.

Choices are: options, alternatives, preferences, selections, elections which mean the act
or opportunity of choosing or the thing chosen. choice suggests the opportunity or
privilege of choosing freely.

Conditionals describe the result of a certain condition.

Zero Conditional
The zero conditional is used to make statements about the real world, and often refers to
general truths, such as scientific facts. In these sentences, the time is now or always and
the situation is real and possible.

Examples
 If you freeze water, it becomes a solid.
 Plants die if they don't get enough water.

I would rather ('Yo prefiero', 'Yo preferiría') se utiliza como auxiliar de modalidad:

What would you rather do instead? ¿Qué preferirías hacer en lugar de eso?
She'd rather not see me. Ella prefiere no verme.

Recuerda que las oraciones afirmativas puedes usar la forma larga Would rather o la
contracción ‘d rather.

Ten presente que el verbo siempre va en su forma base en cualquier tipo de oración
con Would rather.
Interrogativa

Use STILL BUENAVE
to indicate that an action is not finished. There is usually an emotional

 I’ve been waiting for an hour, and the bus still hasn’t arrived.

 She still hasn’t found a job even though she’s been looking for weeks.

Until is used to show change. We use until to indicate the time when a change occurred.
 I didn’t have a car until last week. (Now I have a car. I got it last week.)
 I will wait here until 3:00, and then I will go home. (At 3:00, I will stop waiting.)
 I didn’t speak English until I moved to the U.S. (Now, I speak English.)
 Please wait until Monday to call the library. (Don’t call before Monday.)
 I didn’t know you were angry until you told me. (Now I know that you’re angry.)

expressions would rather and still to create a conversation of 7 minutes approximately.

Exposition time (3 STUDENTS)

Make an exposition talking about any of the problematics that harms societies in current
days. (Violence, pollutions, poverty, unemployment …) use the conditional for giving
possible solutions to it.
