INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA REALIZACIÓN DE LA PRUEBA

1º) Escuche atentamente las instrucciones que le dé el examinador.
2º) Antes de empezar, rellene los datos personales (apellidos, nombre y DNI/NIE) que
figuran en cada página.
3º) Lea con atención las preguntas y no se apresure en empezar a escribir.
4º) Emplee bolígrafo de tinta azul o negra para responder las preguntas.
5º) Conteste las preguntas a continuación de cada enunciado.
6º) Dispone de una hoja en blanco que puede utilizar para anotaciones y que deberá
entregar al finalizar la prueba junto con las hojas restantes.
7º) No está permitido el uso de dispositivos móviles ni informáticos, ni de relojes
inteligentes.
8º) La puntuación o valor de la pregunta se detalla en cada una de ellas.
9º) Las respuestas incorrectas NO puntúan negativamente.
10º) Para superar la prueba es preciso obtener 5 puntos. Se puntúa con 2 decimales.
11º) Dispone de una hora (60 minutos) para realizar la prueba.
12º) Los resultados se harán públicos en: el Tablón de anuncios virtual del Gobierno de La
Rioja; en su web www.larioja.org, en el apartado de Empleo y Formación –

1 READING : Read the text and answer the questions that follow

The Incredible Dolphin

Dolphins seem to be able to think, understand, and learn things quickly. Scientists say
dolphin intelligence and human intelligence are similar in some ways. How?

1 They talk
Like humans, every dolphin has its own “name”. The name is a special whistle. Each dolphin
chooses a specific whistle for itself, usually by its birthday. Actually, scientists think dolphins,
like people, “talk” to each other about a lot of things, such as their age, their feelings, or
finding food. And, like humans, dolphins use a system of sounds and body language to
communicate.

2 They play whistle

Dolphins are also social animals. They live in groups called pods, and they often join others
from different pods to play games and have fun. In fact, playing together is something only
intelligent animals do.

3 They make plans

Dolphins and humans both make plans to get something they want. In the seas of southern
Brazil, for example, dolphins use an interesting strategy to get something they want. When
fish are near a boat, dolphins signal to the fishermen to put their nets in the water. Using
this method, the men can catch a lot of fish, and the dolphins get to eat some of those fish.
