1. OVERVIEW
Durante la visita realizada se procedió a realizar una inspección general de la estructura para las
divisiones que no son de tipo bullet resistant ó de tipo physical resistant (paredes de color amarillo en
la figura 1), antes de que se proceda a la colocación de tabla yeso como cerramiento. Actualmente
en el proyecto se han realizado trabajos de las instalaciones de sistema contra incendio, instalación
de rociadores y tuberías flexibles, canalización eléctrica, cableado eléctrico, instalación de bandejas,
instalación de cajas rectangulares para tomas y switchs, instalación de una cara de lámina (Steel
plate) para las bullet división and physical resistant división. (Ver distribución de divisiones en plano
estructural S100)

During the visit, a general inspection of the structure was carried out for the divisions that are not bullet
resistant or physical resistant (yellow walls in Figure 1), before proceeding with the installation of
gypsum board as an enclosure. Currently in the project, work has been done on the fire system
installations, installation of sprinklers and flexible piping, electrical conduit, electrical wiring, installation
of trays, installation of rectangular boxes for outlets and switches, installation of one side of steel plate
for the bullet resistant and physical resistant divisions (see distribution of divisions in structural plan
S100).

2. SITE INSPECTION SUMMARY

El equipo de EC realizo la inspección de la estructura para divisiones de tabla yeso, del canal
horizontal anclado a la losa, los postes verticales de la estructura y los refuerzos horizontales
existentes.
The EC team inspected the structure for gypsum board partitions, the horizontal channel anchored to
the slab, the vertical posts of the structure and the existing horizontal reinforcements.

Durante la revisión se observó que la altura a losa en el nivel es de 4.11 m y que se han utilizado 2
tipos de postes verticales, postes de 3 5/8”x2” calibre 26 de longitud de 10 pies que se han realizado
traslapes de 50 cms y postes que se reutilizaron de las divisiones perimetrales que se desmontaron,
estos son piezas completas de losa de piso a losa de techo y tienen mayor espesor. Los postes 3
5/8”x2” calibre 26 por la gran esbeltez que tienen están bastante inestables y flexibles.
During the review it was observed that the height to slab on grade is 4.11 m and that 2 types of vertical
posts have been used, 3 5/8 "x2" 26-gauge posts with a length of 10 feet that have been overlapped
by 50 cms and posts that were reused from the perimeter divisions that were dismantled, these are
complete pieces from floor slab to ceiling slab and have greater thickness. The 3 5/8 "x2" 26-gauge
posts are quite unstable and flexible due to their great slenderness.

 Debido a estos empalmes realizados en los postes 3 5/8”x2” calibre 26 y a la altura del nivel
se sugiere agregar refuerzos horizontales del mismo material a media altura para rigidizar los
postes verticales.
Due to these splices in the 3 5/8 "x2" 26-gauge posts and the height of the level, it is suggested
that horizontal reinforcements of the same material be added at mid-height to stiffen the
vertical posts.

 En las estructuras que están ubicadas bajo ventanas existentes de fachada se puede observar
que el nivel de terminación no está horizontal, por lo que el acabado con la tabla roca y la
repisa de la ventana tendrá desniveles, se recomienda verificar e instalar al mismo nivel
horizontal para que el acabado y la repisa sea una sola superficie.
In the structures that are located under existing façade windows it can be observed that the
finishing level is not horizontal, so the finish with the gypsum board and the window sill will
have unevenness, it is recommended to verify and install at the same horizontal level so that
the finish and the sill will be a single surface.

 No existe separación entre algunas tuberías de A.N y venteo que ya están instaladas en N10
y la estructura de las paredes de tabla roca, se recomienda dejar una separación de al menos
1 pulgada entre la estructura de pared y dichas tuberías para evitar daños durante las
vibraciones.
There is no clearance between some sewage. and vent piping already installed in N10 and the
rock slab wall structure, it is recommended to leave at least 1 inch clearance between the wall
structure and such piping to avoid damage during vibrations.

 Para todos los canales que están anclados a piso o losa, postes girados, empalmes, etc.
revisar y reparar todos los que están doblados, cortados o dañados.
For all channels that are anchored to floor or slab, turned posts, splices, etc. check and repair
all that are bent, cut or damaged.

 Existen postes que no están verticales o que están pandos. Revisar y colocar verticalmente
todos los postes

 Existen tuberías del sistema contra incendio instaladas en el nivel 10 que chocan con la
estructura vertical de las paredes. Se debe dejar una distancia por lo menos de 1 pulgada
entre la estructura y las tuberías.
There are fire system pipes installed on level 10 that collide with the vertical wall structure. A
distance of at least 1 inch should be left between the structure and the pipes.

 Para los cargaderos de los huecos con mayor claro de los espacios 1023,1024 y 1030 se
sugiere reforzar con doble canal horizontal tipo encajuelado, colocar una sola pieza madera
de refuerzo continua sin cortarla ni traslapes o sustituir los cargaderos de calibre 26 por
perfiles de mayor espesor, como los postes reutilizados.
For the load-bearing members of the largest openings in spaces 1023, 1024 and 1030, we
suggest reinforcing with a double horizontal channel, placing a single continuous piece of
reinforcing lumber without cutting or overlapping, or replacing the 26-gauge load-bearing
members with thicker profiles, such as the reused posts.

 En los cargaderos de todos los huecos se sugiere colocar piezas completas sin traslapes.
It is suggested to place complete pieces without overlaps in the load-bearing surfaces of all
the openings.

 Para todos los postes verticales en paredes de tabla yeso, la separación máxima permitida es
de 60 cms de centro a centro, al medir la pared donde estará el inodoro del espacio 1027, hay
unos postes instalados a 65 cms de distancia, sin embargo, en esta pared se deberán colocar
refuerzos para el inodoro, tomar en cuenta para corregir las separaciones de más de 60cm.
For all vertical studs in plasterboard walls, the maximum allowable separation is 60 cm from
center to center. When measuring the wall where the toilet will be in space 1027, there are
some studs installed at 65 cm distance, however, reinforcements for the toilet should be placed
in this wall, taking into account to correct the separations of more than 60 cm.

 Para las ventanas y puertas se sugiere realizar refuerzos en diagonal de igual forma que los
detalles indicados en plano S-101 para paredes physical resistant y bullet resistant.
For windows and doors, diagonal reinforcements are suggested, as well as the details
indicated in drawing S-101 for physical resistant and bullet resistant walls.

 Se observa que las cajas de tomas y switch están a rostro de la estructura de las divisiones,
se sugiere que estas cajas rectangulares queden a rostro del borde exterior de la tabla yeso
y no de la estructura.
It is observed that the outlet and switch boxes are facing the structure of the partitions, it is
suggested that these rectangular boxes face the outer edge of the gypsum board and not the
structure.

 Existen tuberías de descarga de mayor diámetro que el espesor de las paredes, se sugiere
aumentar la sección de la división para que la tubería no quede solapada con la tabla yeso
sustituyendo los postes de 3 5/8” a 6” de ancho ó en su defecto agregar postes de 1 ½” a los
ya instalados.
There are discharge pipes of larger diameter than the thickness of the walls, it is suggested to
increase the section of the division so that the pipe does not overlap with the gypsum board
by replacing the 3 5/8" to 6" wide posts or adding 1 ½" posts to those already installed.

3 CONCLUSIONES.

Este reporte constituye una guía para el reforzamiento y recepción de la estructura para divisiones
de tabla yeso. Se sugiere al cliente que el contratista ejecute las sugerencias de reforzamiento
estructural indicado en este reporte para garantizar la estabilidad y durabilidad de las paredes.
Posterior a la corrección de las observaciones, un representante de EC realizara la visita de campo
para verificar que en efecto los cambios fueron realizados.
Debe ser responsabilidad del contratista garantizar las condiciones de seguridad para realizar los
trabajos sugeridos.
This report constitutes a guide for the reinforcement and reception of the structure for gypsum board
partitions. It is suggested to the client that the contractor execute the structural reinforcement
suggestions indicated in this report to guarantee the stability and durability of the walls. After correction
of the observations, an EC representative will make a field visit to verify that the changes have been
made.
It must be the contractor's responsibility to guarantee the safety conditions to carry out the suggested
works.
