Una de las cosas más importantes por qué preocuparse en la vida es la salud. Por
esto, cuando tenemos un problema de salud vamos a visitar al Doctor. Aquí
revisaremos un poco en inglés, como me puedo expresar cuando quiero hablar
sobre problemas de salud.
Example:
Patient: “Good Morning! I’d like to make an appointment to see the doctor today”
“Buenos días! Me gustaría agentar una cita para ver al doctor hoy”
Secretary: “The Doctor is busy this morning, but he is free this afternoon. Is 2
o’clock OK?
“El Doctor está ocupado esta mañana, pero él está libre esta tarde.
¿Está bien a las 2 de la tarde?
SYMPTOMS (SINTOMA)
¿Cuando veas al Doctor, él o ella, te preguntará “What’s wrong with you?” o
“What’s the problem?”, lo que decir “¿Cuál es el problema o síntomas?”
DIAGNOSIS (DIAGNOSTICO)
Después de decirle tus síntomas al Doctor, él te dirá el nombre de lo que padeces.

El doctor entonces dirá “My diagnosis is that you have the flu”
“Mi diagnóstico es que tienes influenza (gripa)”
Observemos estas dos formas que podemos usar para hablar sobre nuestros
problemas de salud.
“I have been coughing a lot these days /recently / for the last few days / since
yesterday”
“He estado tosiendo muchísimo estos días /recientemente / los últimos días /
desde ayer”
Utilizamos la forma del present perfect continuous para expresar que algo empezó
en el pasado y sigue presentándose en el presente. Como el caso del ejemplo,
donde ha estado tosiendo desde antes, pero aún sigue el síntoma.

Realiza oraciones en donde des una sugerencia para cada síntoma según su
tratamiento.
Vamos a realizar la primera oración con las primeras palabras, que son Fever y
Take an aspirin.
Para realizar recomendaciones en inglés, utilizamos el verbo modal SHOULD, que
significa deberías.
Por ejemplo
