2. PRESENTACION
 En estos momentos, el mundo se está globalizando, los mercados entre países se están
fortaleciendo y el idioma inglés es en el cual se realizan todas las operaciones tanto
monetarios como de relaciones entre todas las naciones, es por eso que la importancia
del inglés para nuestras vidas es vital y más cuando se están adquiriendo unos
conocimientos de administración en donde los negocios se ven diariamente.
 Nuestras clases serán muy interactivas y divertidas con el fin que les guste aprender el
idioma ingles y que el aprendizaje sea de una manera efectiva y eficaz.
3. FORMULACION DE LAS ACTIVIDADES DE APRENDIZAJE

 Utilizaremos la plataforma Territorium para el anuncio de las actividades y la plataforma
meet.
 En esta guía aprenderán el uso de los cardinal and ordinal numbers.

Cardinal Numbers
1.Los cardinal numbers
Para contar en inglés y para indicar con exactitud una determinada cantidad de
elementos utilizaremos los cardinal numbers.

2. Números de dos dígitos
Los números en inglés a partir del 10 se forman de la siguiente manera:
Las dos primeras cifras (11 y 12) reciben una denominación específica que debe
ser aprendida de memoria. Del número 13 al 19 todos los números terminan en -
teen:
A partir del número 20, las decenas terminan con la partícula -

3. El resto de los casos consecutivos, cuando tenemos un número formado por

dos cifras, se escribe la decena seguida por un guion y la unidad correspondiente.
4. Números de más de dos dígitos
Para referirnos a las centenas utilizaremos la siguiente estructura:
CIFRA + HUNDRED
One hundred
Four hundred
Para referirnos a las unidades de mil utilizaremos la siguiente estructura:
CIFRA + THOUSAND
Five thousand
Thirty-seven thousand
Para referirnos a las unidades de millón utilizaremos la siguiente estructura:
CIFRA + MILLION
Thirty-two million
A partir de estas cantidades, solo hay que hacer combinaciones según convenga
teniendo en cuenta que utilizaremos la conjunción and para
enlazar centenas o millares con decenas y/o unidades.

A diferencia del español, que utiliza el punto para designar los números a partir de
999 y la coma para los decimales, en inglés es a la inversa. Para
los decimales se utilizará el punto y para los números mayores de 999 se

utilizará la coma, como hemos visto en los ejemplos anteriores.
Las palabras hundred, thousand y million no tienen forma de plural cuando

estas siguen a un número:
I have got two million dollars in the bank / I have got two millions dollars in the
bank.
Tengo dos millones de dólares en el banco.
7. Los cardinal numbers en años y teléfonos
 Para expresar los años: Se tiende a dividir el número en dos grupos de

dos cifras y se pronuncian por separado:
In fourteen ninety-two Cristobal Colon discovered America.
En 1492 Cristóbal Colón descubrió América.
En el caso de que el año termine en dos 00 se agrupan las dos primeras

cifras y se añade la palabra hundred.
1900 nineteen hundred
 Para números de teléfono: Se dicen de uno en uno, nunca agrupados.
My phone number is 634 023 455 (six, three, four, oh, two, three, four,
double five).
Mi número de teléfono es el 634 023 455 (seis, tres, cuatro, cero, dos,
tres, cuatro, cinco, cinco).
Cuando dos números iguales se encuentren juntos, en inglés estos se

escriben o dicen mediante la palabra double seguida del número que está
repetido.
