GUIA 4: Giving directions (Actividad de vocabulario)

Para dar la indicación de cómo llegar a un lugar son 3 aspectos los que hay que dar como
referencia:
1.-Debes indicar sobre qué calle debe caminar la persona.
2.-En que calle debe girar a la izquierda o derecha.
3.-Por ultimo puedes dar como referencia un lugar cercano.

Expresiones communes
Walk on / Walk along : Camina sobre.
Go straight: Vete derecho
Turn right: Gira a la derecha
Turn left: Gira a la izquierda
Block (s): Cuadra (s)
Cross/pass the street: Cruza/pasa la calle
How can I get to?: Como puedo llegar a…..?
How do I get to……….?: Como llego a ……….?

1. Lee la siguiente conversación, luego observa el mapa de abajo y trata de descubrir donde esta la
casa de STEVE (A, B o C).
SUSAN: Hey Jeremy, are you going to Steve’s party tonight?
JEREMY: Sure, I even bought a new camera just to take pictures!
SUSAN: Do you know where his house is? How can I get there?
JEREMY: Of course it´s near my house. We just need to walk two blocks on Yellow Street, turn left on
Elm street and it’s just around the corner. It’s on Parker Avenue.
SUSAN: Can I go with you?
JEREMY: Sure, no problem. What time do we meet?
SUSAN: around eight p.m.
JEREMY: Ok, see you then!
SUSAN: Bye
