The abstract should cover all aspects that have been developed in the
work in a precise, coherent and brief (usually with a maximum of 250
words). The extension and general rules of a summary vary depending
on the field of research that focuses your work, so we distinguish a
descriptive abstract associated with the Humanities and Social Sciences
studies of an informative abstract linked to the Scientific Branch.

Working & helping on your final product presentation

Why do we write an abstract?

Previously, we defined the summary as a letter of presentation of the
work and this is one of the main reasons why we wrote it. Writing a
good abstract can boost your work in the middle of academic research
and also facilitate the search and selection of materials to potential
readers. A summary gives the reader a synthetic and clear vision
favoring the selection process according to the interest you have.

How to write a good abstract?

The abstract must be an independent and self-created unit of
information. To carry out this task effectively, it is best to write it once
the research article has been completed, because this will give you a
global vision of all the aspects treated and the resulting conclusions.
Writing a summary correctly requires time and dedication. Writing
several drafts can help you focus and decide which important aspects of
your work you want to highlight.

What should you include in your abstract?

At the time of writing your summary you must take into account the
following points: the reason that prompted you to write about that
topic, the problem or purpose that you cover in it, the approach you
have given, the results acquired and finally, the final conclusions of the
investigation. These five points can help you make sure that your
abstract contains all the information that the future reader will need.

Who could be addressed?

The abstract acquires vital importance in conferences, congresses and
academic meetings. On these occasions, writing a good abstract is very
important because all your research work will be evaluated through it.
Your abstract will be reviewed and evaluated by academic experts.
This review mainly deals with three interests or functions: evaluation of
the content and needs of the congress itself, to organize the papers
thematically and as a reference of the interests or needs that the
listeners may have.
