figure 3 is a schematic drawinng of a diesel fuel system like the one shown in figure 2 A
schematic drawing does not directly show the real system, it just indicates how the
components work in the system.
The system above is a dual(two) pressure system. The low pressure fuel supply pump
pulls fuel from the tank and forces it through the strainer and the filter to the high
pressure injection pump.
The high pressure injection pump is the most important unit of this type system.
