Los sistemas internacionales de protección de los derechos humanos son muy
importantes porque nos ayudan a prevenir y solucionar los conflictos, a proteger a

las condiciones de vida de las personas.

El mecanismo universal de los derechos humanos es el conjunto de normas, instituciones y
procedimientos que se encargan de promover y proteger los derechos humanos en todo el
mundo, bajo el auspicio de las Naciones Unidas. Este mecanismo se basa en la Carta de las
Naciones Unidas, la Declaración Universal de Derechos Humanos y otros tratados
internacionales de derechos humanos, que establecen los derechos y las obligaciones de los
Estados y las personas.
