Entamoeba o blastocystis (+) vs (-) refleja una interacción indirecta o directa entre
los protozoos, bacterias intestinales y las defensas del huesped:
– Protozoos pueden alimentar ciertas especies de baterias, permitiendo a ciertas especies
proliferar o inducir una respuesta immune que afecte la defense contra otros microbios.
– Pueden alterar la estructura de las comunidades microbianas y contribuir a la homeostasis.
– ES possible que específicos microbiomas intestinales predispongan a un individio a la
colonización por Entamoeba o Blastocystis.
