 INTRODUCCIÓN
La materia ordinaria existe en uno de tres estados: sólido, líquido o gas. Hay un cuarto
estado de la materia llamado plasma, que es esencialmente un gas ionizado con el mismo
número de cargas positivas y negativas. Un sólido cristalino es un objeto que tiene una
estructura periódica y ordenada y como resultado tiene una forma que no cambia a menos
que esté sujeto a una fuerza externa. A medida que aumenta la temperatura, el sólido se
derrite y se convierte en líquido. Las moléculas ya no están en posiciones fijas, aunque las
interacciones entre ellas siguen siendo lo suficientemente grandes como para que el líquido
pueda cambiar de forma sin cambiar significativamente su volumen, adaptándose a su
recipiente.

La hidrostática o la estática de fluidos es él estudió
de las propiedades de los fluidos en reposo en
situaciones de equilibrio, está se basa en las
primera y terceras leyes de Newton.
Matemáticamente, el equilibrio hidrostático se
expresa comúnmente de la siguiente manera
donde P es la presión del fluido, z es la coordenada
vertical,  la densidad del fluido y g la aceleración de
la gravedad.
Principio de Pascal
En física, el principio de Pascal por el
fisicomatemático francés Blaise Pascal (1623-
1662) que se resume en la frase: la presión
ejercida sobre un fluido incompresible y en
equilibrio dentro de un recipiente de paredes
indeformables se transmite con igual intensidad
en todas las direcciones y en todos los puntos
del fluido.

La presión que ejerce el líquido es la presión termodinámica que interviene en la ecuación
constitutiva y en la ecuación de movimiento del fluido, en algunos casos especiales esta
presión coincide con la presión media o incluso con la presión hidrostática.
