CÓMO EXPRESAMOS CONSEJOS EN INGLÉS

1. Dar consejo.

2. Dicho de una cosa: Inspirar algo a alguien.

3. Tomar consejo o pedirlo a alguien.

SHOULD: DEBERÍA
SHOULD NOT: SHOULDN´T: NO DEBERÍA
SHOULD YOU STUDY THIS VERB? (¿DEBERÍAMOS ESTUDIAR ESTE VERBO?)
YES, WE SHOULD STUDY THIS VERB TO BE POLITE WHEN TALKING.. (SÍ, DEBERÍA
ESTUDIAR ESTE VERBO PARA SER GENTIL CUANDO HABLAMOS).

SHOULD, se usa para todos los pronombres, es decir, las personas.


Además va acompañado de otro verbo, que indica qué deberíamos hacer.
EJEMPLOS:

I should eat fruit. (Debería comer frutas)


You should study your lessons and rest. (Deberías estudiar tus lecciones y descansar)
He/she should read books. (Él/ ella debería leer libros)
We should take care of the environment. (Deberíamos cuidar el medio ambiente)
They should order their bedrooms. (Deberían ordenar sus dormitorios)
También se puede usar en negativo:
You shouldn't smoke fifty cigarettes a day. (No deberías fumar 50 cigarrillos al día)
We shouldn't play so many computer games. ( No deberíamos jugar tantos juegos de
computadora) :

MUST / MUSTN'T
Para expresar obligación, usamos MUST seguido de un verbo en infinitivo (sin conjugar)

You must study this lesson. I must be careful with some tools.
(Tú debes estudiar esta lección.) (Yo debo ser cuidadoso con algunas herramientas.)

They must be quiet in class. The operators must wear protection masks.
(Ellos deben estar callados en clase.) (Los operadores deben usar máscaras de protección.)

Para expresar que algo está prohibido , o que no está permitido, usamos MUST NOT (se abrevia
MUSTN'T) seguido de un verbo sin conjugar.

You must not step on the grass. (Usted no debe pisar el pasto.)
He mustn't cross with a red light. (El no debe cruzar con la luz roja.)

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1- You must wear goggles to protect your eyes.


2- Gas cylinders should be used in a vertical position.
3- Your clothes should not be oily or greasy. Oxygen can combine with oil or grease to cause an
explosion.
4- You should wear long sleeves so that you do not burn your arms.
5- You should wear thick shoes to protect your feet.
6- You should wear gloves so that sparks do not burn your hands.
7- Allow the sparks to fall into a metal container so that they don´t burn the floor.
8- There must be extinguishers in the workshop so that any fire can be extinguished immediately.
9- After welding, turn off all valves so that no gases can escape .

SIMPLE PAST REGULAR VERBS

Past time expressions:

SIMPLE PAST IRREGULAR VERBS

Para formar el pasado de los verbos irregulares en AFIRMATIVO, se debe buscar el verbo en la lista de
verbos IRREGULARES. El pasado es la palabra que está en la SEGUNDA COLUMNA de la lista.

Por ejemplo:

GO WENT
WRITE WROTE
HAVE HAD

El NEGATIVO se forma con DID NOT y el verbo en infinitivo (sin conjugar).

Por ejemplo:

DID NOT GO
DIDN'T WRITE
DIDN'T HAVE

Para todas las personas ( I, you, he, she, it, we, they) se usa la misma palabra o frase.

I went to the park. He went to the park. They went to the park.

Yuri Gagarin

Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space. The


first words he spoke when he saw the Earth
from space were" I see Earth. It's so beautiful".
Yuri was born near Moscow, Russia, on 9th
March, 1943. His father was a farmer. In 1951,
he left school as a metalworker and in 1955,
he joined the Soviet Air Force. Yuri had a
natural talent for flying and he volunteered to
become a cosmonaut.
On 12th April, 1961, Yuri travelled into space
for 108 minutes on the Soviet spaceship
Vostok 1. This great event made headlines in
newspapers all over the world. He was a brave, energetic man who loved life and wanted to do
as much as he could for his country. A crater on the moon is named after him. He is certainly a
man who made his mark on history.
