Resumen
Abstract.
The practice consisted of determining the heat of neutralization and dissolution, with the objective
of knowing what impact the amount of matter has on the amount of heat released or absorbed.
First the Dewar beaker is calibrated (22.36 Jules* K-1), then the respective calories are
determined. For the first test that related 98g of NaOH with 25g of H2SO4, it was found that the
energy released was -1024.244J (negative because it was an exothermic reaction). After carrying
out other tests, it was deduced that the amount of matter involved in the reactions determines
the amount of matter absorbed or released.
