Descripción de la Actividad
Actividad
 En el primer lugar como inicio de esta actividad los estudiantes de 1er año del área de inglés deben
elaborar una infografía.
 Instrucciones: debe seleccionar libre e individualmente (5) personajes históricos que hayan destacado
a nivel local, regional, nacional o internacional como: héroes y heroínas artistas plásticos, atletas o
escritores.
 Al pie de la infografía, seleccionar un solo personaje y responder en inglés.
1. Who was…? ¿quien fue…?
2. Were was born…? Donde nacio…?
3. What was the importance of your work? ¿cuál fue la importancia de su obra?
 Se anexa un modelo de infografía ( es referencial solamente)
 El taller de (workshop) u hoja de trabajo (worksheet) sobre el uso del “pasado continuo” con el verbo
to be en pasado (was – were) + gerundio (ing) lo deben realizar siguiendo los ejemplos del material que
a continuación se especifica.

Past continue tense:
 Formamos el pasado continuo con el pasado simple del verbo to be (was – were) más gerundio “ing”
del verbo principal.
 El pasado simple del verbo “to be” es “was” para la primera y tercera persona del simple y “were” para
los otros.

Part one I:Escribir oraciones interrogativas, afirmativas y negativas en pasado continuo (was – were) + ing.
Example
1. Were they playing basketball last morning?
- Yes, they were playing basketball last morning
- They weren´t playing basketball last morning
2. Was I studying history last night?
- Yes, you were studying history last night
- You weren´t studying history last night
3. Was she reading a book last Monday?
- Yes, she was reading a book last Monday
- She, wasn´t reading a book last Monday
4. Were you taking a sunbathing last week end?
- Yes, I was taking a sunbathing last week end?
- I wasn´t taking a sunbathing last week end
Part two II:Complete these sentences with was o were.

Part four IV: Complete diciendo lo que no estuvieron haciendo
Examples
1. I´m studying Englisth. (last night)

Part five V: Haga oraciones usando when(cuando)
Examples
1. I / sleep / bell ring / last afternoon
I was sleeping when bell rang last afternoon
2. We / drink coffee / they come/ yesterday
We were drinking coffee when the come yesterday
Part Six VI: Complete use was-were + ing
Examples
1. I was eating vegetables last breakfast (eat)
2. They were playing football a moment ago (play)
