Con la intención de que los empleados de Amazon puedan disfrutar
de la naturaleza sin salir de Seattle, el estudio norteamericano NBBJ
ha levantado tres esferas vítreas conectadas entre sí, que funcionan
como un gran invernadero y que albergan en su interior una selva
amazónica en miniatura. Para garantizar el bienestar de las más de
400 especies de plantas que compartirán espacio con las oficinas, el
edificio mantiene un nivel de humedad interior del 60%.
Por último, y tras un ambicioso proyecto fallido, Bjarke Ingels
renuncia a las pretensiones megalíticas propias de las sedes cen-
tralizadas y proyecta para Google dos soluciones diferentes: en el
campus de Charleston colabora con Thomas Heatherwick Studio
para diseñar un hangar de apariencia textil adaptable y reproducible
en otros lugares; y en Sunnyvale plantea dos volúmenes de forma
zigzagueante cuyas cubiertas transitables invitan al contacto con

¿Compara su trabajo con el de sus colegas
de profesión?
Cualquier cosa que hagamos, si es lo suficien-
