•Los BM nos han acompañado siempre y se han covertido en parte rutinaria de la atención
médica

Su detección precoz y la participación en los programas de salud son
esenciales a la hora de cambiar las expectativas de la enfermedad
(supervivencia y mejor calidad de vida).

(genes-proteinas-----vias fisiopatológicas----). Con el Proyecto Genoma Humano y la aparición
de nuevos métodos como el de las “OMICAS”(genómica, proteómica, metabolómica,
bioinformática) y de Tecnologia ............está siendo posible abrir los mejores enfoques de
manejo.

CANCER DE CERVIX
+Niveles <15 U/Ml tras 6 ciclos de Qx correlaciona con periodos largos libres de recurrencia.
+La elevación del CA125 puede anteceder hasta en 3 meses a la detección clínica de
recurrencia.Sin embargo dar tratamiento en estas circunstancias no ha mejorado la tasa de
supervivencia.
+ Para casos con CA125 normal, se está utilizando (aprobado x la FDA) el antigeno HE-4 para
monitorizar la Rpta al tto como alternativa a la TAC.
