According to the First World Report created by the International NGO Bullying Without
Borders, corresponding to the years 2020/2021 for America, Europe, Africa, Oceania
and Asia; realized between January 2020 and December 2021 by the 50 thousand
collaborators that Bullying Without Borders has all around the world, Bullying cases all
around the world have boomed in relation with the last available measurements (developed
in 1990).
The official podium is occupied by Mexico, in which 7 of every 10 children and teenagers
suffer some form of bullying every day. United States of America follows with 6 of every
10 children and teenagers suffering bullying and very closely is China, in which 6 of 10
children and teenagers (more precisely 5,8) suffer this phenomenon. It's important to
remark that in the case of China and for political reasons we couldn't gather all available

Founded on 5/2/2012 by Dr. Javier Miglino and an International Team. On 5/2/2013 they
propose the WORLD DAY AGAINST BULLYING. Then the historic 'WORLD DAY
AGAINST BULLYING' would be born; one of the 24 World Ephemeris. Miglino said:
"Bullying feeds on three poisons: loneliness, sadness and fear. For giving bullying global
visibility, we can defeat it, saving millions of lives."
In 2016, UNESCO abolished the minimum of 25 years of prior study and approved it
by acclamation.
Que se ocuparon de mi
y pacientes, comprendieron.
Haciéndome sentir segura
y protegida por ellos.
Porque en el mundo
aún hay seres,
de valores sempiternos,
capaces de regalarnos,
una palabra de aliento
que nos rescate del caos
y que nos diga sincero:
"duerme tranquila con mamá,
nosotros nos ocuparemos".
Defienden la educación
y forjan el pensamiento.
Dando a cientos de millones
la tranquilidad de hacerlo.
Surgieron inesperados,
menos que tres Premios Nóbel de la Paz: Desmond Tutu, John Hume y Liu Xiaobo;

"Bullying is a silent killer that claimed several victims as this report is being written.
Such is the damage caused by bullying and cyberbullying that no less than three
Nobel Peace Prize winners: Desmond Tutu, John Hume and Liu Xiaobo; since 2016
they began to ask to Bullying Without Borders, that in the face of the conspicuous
silence of organizations such as UNESCO, UNICEF and others, it was necessary to
have the courage and energy to carry out a report, with sufficient academic support
and clear objectivity, so that universities, governments , educational entities and the
media around the world, can use it to draw an X-ray of bullying around the world,
country by country.

From there and through communication with hospitals that treated serious episodes
of bullying, Ministries of Education and local Secretaries of Education that openly or
strictly off the record provided us with information, reports of criminal cases where
they had to investigate serious situations of bullying , plus the testimonies of millions
of teachers and parents of victims, shaped this First World Report on Bullying, which
from this moment we make available to everyone, free of charge. Bullying and
cyberbullying are silent killers that each year kill 200,000 children and young people
around the world. These murderers feed on three poisons: loneliness, sadness and
fear. Bullying Without Borders aims to be that brave friend who is always by your
side, so you don't fear or be sad. This report cost us a lot, but if we achieve that, it will
be worth it."

Global Director of Bullying Without Borders
CYBERBULLYING is a silent killer:
Around 200,000 children and adolescents die worldwide from causes attributable to
bullying and CYBERBULLYING. Depression is the leading cause of morbidity
and disability in this group. Cyber BULLYING or CYBERBULLYING on social
networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp has a great impact on the
mental health of adolescents. Being the first cause of depression, lack of interest in studies,
lack of acceptance of one's own body, bulimia and anorexia. Suicide and even homicide,
perpetrated by stalkers and victims, based on the attacks suffered;
turn CYBERBULLYING into a silent killer.

It's important to remark that in the case of China and for political reasons we
couldn't gather all available data.
In the United States, bullying shuts down the physical and mental health of children,
even costing their lives thoughout the whole country. In this case, the statistic shows
us that six of every ten children and teens are bullied with a special emphasis on
Hispanic children. A special mention deserves college bullying, which is extremely
developed and well extended though the campus life, in the form of what the bullies
call "hazings"; defined as the complex and highly abusive ceremonies that young
adults have to go through to be admitted in a fraternity. In college hazings, many
young men and women end up humilliated and even hurt, causing many cases of
suicide.
Most of the cases of bullying in primary and secondary schools in the USA occur with
children and adolescents of Hispanic origin.
The blows, the threats and the harassment in general, arrive every day, when entering
and when leaving the school establishment.
Poor performance in sports (football, basketball) is one of the biggest reasons for
bullying among classmates.
Musical tastes and the way of dressing are also a reason for bullying.
ALERT:
The number noted, 160,000 serious cases of bullying, places USA as the country with
the second highest number of cases of bullying in the world.

Note: this World Report about Bullying surfaces thanks to the collaboration of the
OECD and the NGO Bullying Without Borders. For that reason and to make it more
ample and rich, data from more countries than just the 34 members of the OECD was
taken. Examples of non-member that appear on the list are Argentina, Brazil,
Uruguay, Honduras, Costa Rica, etc.
Lack of reports:
"Few cases are reported by authorities of the different governing bodies on education.
However, parents, educators, teenagers and even friends and relatives of bullying
victims report thousands of cases each day in the official mail of Bullying Without
Borders. We're inviting everyone to participate. It's this way that we can enrich this
statistic and make it more ample, more plural and more valuable."
Dr. Javier Miglino.

• 74 per cent of children between 8 and 14 years have suffered bullying at least one
time.
• 60 per cent of bullies will have at least one felony-related incident at adult age.
• 200,000 children and adolescents lose their lives every year as a result of bullying
and cyberbullying around the world
Message of the Founder of Bullying Without Borders for the whole world:
a varios alumnos.
The profound economic change in China is developing the creation of the largest
middle class in the world. In this new context, being a child or young person from a
poor or favored family is a reason for bullying. Even parents, something that does not
happen in Mexico or in the United States of America, in some cases take justice into
their own hands, such as the case of Fai M. who took the life of her daughter's
aggressor. A boy of only nine years. Which ends up aggravating the problem.
China has suffered at least 150,000 serious cases of bullying during 2021 and 2022.
The poverty of students, compared to others with a better economic level, is a reason
for bullying. Poor performance in sports activities such as soccer, basketball,
volleyball and other sports, too.
In the case of girls, sophistication in the way they dress and express themselves can be
a reason for praise as well as harassment and bullying.
The death of a young teenager after a bullying incident raised questions about the
problem China.
Three days after he went missing, thirteen-year-old Ke Liangwei’s body was found in
the wilderness on December 26. The young teenager had drowned.
Then last week, his story took a dark twist that casts new light on his death and shines
a spotlight on China’s bullying problem. A video emerged of a peer slapping the boy
in the face and knocking him to the ground in a restroom while several other students
looked on and cheered.
It was only after the boy went missing that his family learned that the teenager, a
secondary school student from Maoming city in southern China’s Guangdong
province, had repeatedly been physically bullied at school, including the day before
his disappearance.
Description of the military discipline course to be taken by young people who have
done bullying in China:
A district court in Tongzhou, east of Beijing, has forced several minors guilty of
bullying to participate in a program that aims to correct their behavior based on
military discipline. The so-called "re-education course", organized by the court itself,
lasts a week.
The teenagers, accompanied by their parents, began this particular course last
Monday under military discipline, which includes classes on Chinese law in this area
and psychological care. They also did several hours of social work in a nursing home.
"We hope that children and young people can open their minds and realize the
inappropriateness of their previous behavior, and learn to communicate better with
others," Wei Dan, a district criminal court judge, told Bullying Without Borders
School bullying is a growing problem in China. The country does not have a specific
law in this regard and the regulations that protect minors are limited to cases of
violence by adults, but not between them. Those under the age of 16 rarely face severe
punishment, except for crimes as serious as murder. The number of cases that are
reported is ridiculous, because in general both parents and centers choose to minimize
the problem.
For this reason, the present 'First World Map of Bullying', which includes China, is a
gigantic step forward to control this daily scourge that takes the lives of at least
200,000 children and young people, every year around the world.

Uruguay, Honduras, Costa Rica, etc.

A noter:
Without Borders.

Dr Javier Miglino,
Directeur Mondial de Bullying Without Borders
MEXIQUE:
