Remoción e instalación de componentes del APU GTCP85-129

El día de hoy estaba planeado para acceder a los baleros 1 y 6 del JT8D-STD,
pero por motivos de logística, se nos asignó remover los siguientes componentes
del desmontado APU del B-737-200:

-Marcha Ref. (AMM 49-41-11/401)

-Generador eléctrico (Referencia no encontrada)

-Cámara de combustión (AMM 49-31-42/401)

-Bujía Ref. (AMM 49-41-51/401)

-Filtro de aceite Ref. (AMM 49-91-11/401)

Empezamos removiendo la marcha eléctrica, la cual fue bastante sencilla de

remover, quitamos los 4 tornillos que la aseguraban en el conjunto de accesorios
del APU, posteriormente etiquetamos y guardamos en una bolsa plástica toda la
tornillería, procedimos a remover el generador eléctrico, el cual no fue nada fácil
debido a su peso, tuvimos que hacerlo entre 3 personas, después me encargué de
remover el filtro de aceite y la bujía mientras que mi compañero Cris removía la
cámara de combustión, guardamos toda la tornillería y etiquetamos las bolsas
plásticas para no confundirla.

Una vez teníamos todos los componentes removidos, procedimos a limpiarlos e

inspeccionarlos, para posteriormente volver a instalarlos en su debido lugar.

- Open the circuit breaker on M280 module APU accessory unit on E3-3 electronic shelf. - 8724
Open APU compartment access door latches and open access door. Install door support
rods.
- Support lower shroud, open shroud latches, and remove shroud. Cristian

Starter motor Removal/Instalation AMM 49-41-11/401
- Remove starter motor attaching nuts and washers.
- Carefully withdraw starter motor from mounting studs in a straight line.
- Remove and discard packing.
- Install starter motor
-attach washers and nuts. Tighten nuts to a torque range of 70 to 90 pound-inches
- Connect the electrical leads to the applicable starter motor terminals.
Electrical Generator Removal/Instalation
-Remove nuts attaching electrical generator
-Turn right and slide out the electrical generator
-Position the electrical generator within screws, and slide left
 -Thight nuts to a torque range of 100-120 pund-inches

COMBUSTOR UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION AMM 49-31-42/401

- Remove combustor unit Ref. (49-31-42/401)
-Remove fittings, nuts, electrical conections and fuel pipelines to the combustor unit
- Install combustor unit Ref. (49-31-42/401)
- Restore Airplane to normal configuration.

Igniter plug - REMOVAL/INSTALATION AMM 49-41-51/401

- Disconnect high-voltage lead from igniter plug.
- Remove igniter plug mounting bolts, washers, and retainer
- Remove and discard the gasket
-INSTALL IGNITER PLUG
- Place new gasket on igniter plug.
- Insert igniter plug into combustion chamber cap.
- Install igniter plug mounting bolts with washers.
- Connect high voltage lead to igniter plug.
- Safety wire igniter plug mounting bolts and high voltage lead terminal.
- Restore Airplane to normal configuration.

OIL FILTER ELEMENT – REMOVAL/INSTALATION AMM 49-91-11/401

- Remove filter cap, packing, and filter element. Catch dripping oil in suitable container.
- Discard filter element and packings.
- Clean cap in solvent and dry thoroughly with clean, compressed air.
- Lubricate and install new O-ring packing in filter element.
- Lubricate and install new O-ring packing on filter cap.
- Place filter element on centering boss of oil pump housing.
- Position filter cap over filter element and screw cap into oil pump housing.
- Tighten cap and lockwire.
CAUTION: DO NOT EXCEED TORQUE VALUE OF 25 POUND-INCHES WHEN TIGHTENING
OIL FILTER CAP
- Restore Airplane to normal configuration.
