Section Conundrums: The interrogative Cuánto/Cuántos/Cuántas, This interrogative agrees

gender/number with the noun that follows it. Any student who has not yet gotten comfortable with the
concepts of masculine/femenine and the issues of singular/plural, may have problems with this
question word.

Hay: This a verb, that doesn’t look like a verb, nor does it work like any other in the language. However,
it is exceptionally useful.
Hay= there is, there are. It is used to identify what is in a place. Please practice with this verb.
Describe what is in the room around you. Hay una cama (bed). Hay diez zapatos. Hay cinco libros,
etc.
