Clase: ESI – Consent (Consentimiento)

Hola, chicos, en esta clase vamos a trabajar con la ESI, el tema será el consentimiento.
Lo primero que les voy a pedir es que piensen estas preguntas (no las respondan por
escrito):

-What is consent in a relationship? ¿qué es el consentimiento en una relación?


-How do you know if you have consent? ¿cómo saben si hay consentimiento?
-How do you know if you don’t have consent? ¿Cómo se dan cuenta si no hay
consentimiento?

Ahora, luego de pensar, unan (match) estas frases (1, 2, 3 and 4) con su significado en
español (A, B, C, D).

1) The absent of “No” does not mean “Yes”. Silence, hesitation, or passivity does
not mean “yes”. Always check in with your partner.

2) Partners should have honest understanding and trust. Honest communication


regarding using contraceptive.

3) If the person you are having sex with is drunk, high, passed out or asleep they
cannot give consent.

4) Is your partner hugging you back? If they are just being still or turning their
body away from you, stop what you are doing and check in with them.

A- Si la persona con la que estás teniendo sexo está alcoholizada, drogada,


desmayada o dormida no puede dar su consentimiento.
B- Las parejas (ya sean estables u ocasionales) deben ser honestas con su
compañero/a sobre el uso de anticonceptivos.

C- La ausencia de un “NO” no significa “SÍ”. El silencio, la duda o la pasividad


no quieren decir “SI”. Siempre chequeá con tu compañero/a.

D- ¿La persona a la que abrazas te abraza? Si solo se queda quieta o gira su


cuerpo alejándolo de vos, dejá de abrazarla y preguntale si está bien.

- Make a list of the new words and check their meanings. Hagan una lista de las
palabras que no entiendan y agreguen su significado al lado.
- Say if these sentences are true or false. Después de ver el video y escuchar la
canción, digan si las siguientes oraciones son verdaderas (true) o falsas (false) de
acuerdo a la canción. Corrijan las falsas (en inglés).

Finally, after all your work:

Finalmente, después de lo trabajado, respondan (por escrito y en español):

- ¿Qué es el consentimiento para ustedes?


- ¿Siempre se puede decir que no?
- En las situaciones en las que el consentimiento no es claro, ¿qué se puede hacer?
- En el caso de que alguien no respetase los límites que ustedes le pusieran, ¿a
quién se lo contarían?
