II. Sumilla
El alumno desarrollará un trabajo de investigación relacionado a su práctica profesional
o su interés por explorar un nuevo campo profesional. El trabajo será de carácter
bibliográfico, principalmente a partir de la revisión de fuentes primarias y secundarias.
Sin embargo, de ser el caso, el alumno también podrá proponer la utilización de fuentes,
herramientas y métodos interdisciplinarios. Para tal fin, el curso será un laboratorio de
investigación y redacción, donde el alumno desarrollará cada etapa propuesta a través
de ejercicios prácticos, con el acompañamiento personalizado de un equipo de profesores
y asesores.
Objetivo general
Al finalizar el curso, el alumno presentará un trabajo de investigación acorde con los
estándares académicos exigidos por la universidad. Este documento demostrará el
desarrollo de competencias académicas especialmente relevantes para la práctica en el
campo profesional de la minería.
Objetivos específicos
Durante el desarrollo del curso:
El alumno desarrollará competencias para la investigación académica.
El alumno desarrollará competencias para la redacción académica.
El alumno desarrollar competencias para sustentar oralmente un trabajo de
investigación.
El alumno dominará el método de citado APA y los criterios para evitar cometer
plagio o malas citas.
El alumno dominará el uso de herramientas que facilitan la investigación
bibliográfica.
El alumno identificará las principales fuentes de producción académica, que
siguen estándares internacionales de calidad, como, por ejemplo, los mecanismos
de indización.
El alumno concluirá el trabajo de investigación, que estará conformado por las
secciones “introducción”, “estado del arte”, “problema de investigación” y
“discusión”.

V. Metodología
El curso combinará la relación activa de los alumnos con los asesores, así como el
desarrollo de actividades prácticas que serán arbitradas y retroalimentadas
oportunamente.
Las sesiones presenciales están orientadas a la revisión de los avances semanales de
los alumnos, según los objetivos del curso. A continuación, detallaremos las actividades
calificadas previstas:

Como resultado de estas calificaciones, el alumno será ubicado en una de las siguientes
categorías:
Excelente: Tiene una calificación entre 18 y 20. Demuestra dominio de los
aspectos temáticos, metodológicos y procedimentales.
Bueno: Tiene una calificación entre 14 y 17. Demuestra suficiencia en los aspectos
temáticos, metodológicos y procedimentales, pero debe mejorar algunos
aspectos.
Regular: Tiene una calificación entre 11 y 13. Debe mejorar en los aspectos
temáticos, metodológicos y procedimentales.
Deficiente: Tiene una calificación entre 0 y 10. Demuestra insuficiencia en los
aspectos temáticos, metodológicos y procedimentales.
Obligatoria:
Manuales que guiarán el proceso de investigación y el desarrollo de las actividades
prácticas formuladas en el material de estudio.
Complementaria:
Textos académicos sobre el campo minero escritos desde las ciencias sociales, ciencias
de la gestión y derecho, que los alumnos pueden tomar en cuenta para desarrollar sus
respectivas investigaciones.
