Guía de trabajo 1 semana del 27 al 30 de abril PRIMER PERIODO
OBJETIVO Reconocer la función de cada una de las expresiones de tiempo perfecto en
oraciones, escritos y diálogos.
INFORMACION TEORICA Y MODELACION

EXPRESIONES DE TIEMPO/ TIME EXPRESSIONS
EVER Significa alguna vez y solo se usa para preguntas. Se escribe después del
pronombre personal en las preguntas, y antes del verbo en participio pasado. Ejemplo:
1. ¿Has comido alguna vez pulpo? Have You ever eaten octopus?
2. ¿Ha estudiado Susana alguna vez alemán? ¿Has Susana ever studied
German?

NEVER Significa nunca, y es una manera de negar una situación. Se escribe

Después del auxiliar have/has y antes del verbo en participio pasado
1. Yo nunca he comido pulpo. I have never eaten octopus.
2. Susana nunca ha estudiado alemán. Susana has never studied German

FOR Significa Por o durante algún tiempo dado. Se usa para hablar de un tiempo en
específico, una duración de tiempo en el que se ha desarrollado una acción. Ejemplo
1. Yo he vivido en Orito por 5 años. I have lived in Orito for 5 years
2. Mi mamá ha trabajado en Ecopetrol por 6 meses. My mother has worked in
Ecopetrol for 6 months.

SINCE Significa desde hace hablando de tiempo. Se refiere a que una acción comenzó
en un punto en específico en el pasado y sin embargo aún se sigue realizando en el
presente. Ejemplo
1. Yo he vivido en España desde hace 23 años. I have lived in Spain since 23 years.
2. Mario ha sido mi novio desde hace 8 meses. Mario has been my boyfriend since 8
months.

YET Significa ya pero solo en oraciones en forma de pregunta. Se escribe al final de la

oración y se refiere a preguntar si YA se realizó alguna acción en específico. Ejemplo
1. ¿Ya has comido tus alimentos? Have You eaten your meals Yet?
2. ¿Ya han terminado su tarea? Have You finished your homework Yet?
También se utiliza en oraciones negativas, donde toma el significado de no todavía
Por ejemplo: No he terminado de cenar todavía. I haven't finished to dinner Yet.
ALREADY Significa ya en español, pero se utiliza para oraciones afirmativas, e indica que
ya se ha realizado alguna acción. Se escribe después del verbo auxiliar "have/has" y
antes del verbo en pasado participio. Ejemplo
1. Yo ya he comprado los zapatos para la escuela. I have already bought the shoes to
school
2. Los niños ya han terminado de jugar futbol. Children have already finished to play
football.

JUST Significa que la acción recién termino o se hizo. Se escribe después del auxiliar
"have/has" y antes del participio pasado. Ejemplo
1. Apenas he terminado de comer mi desayuno. I have just finished to eat my breakfast.
2. Julia recién ha comenzado a leer el libro de física. Julia has just begun to read the
Physic's book

STILL Significa todavía. Lo utilizamos para indicar que algo continúa hasta un momento,
ya sea en el presente, el pasado o el futuro. Generalmente se usa en frases afirmativas.
"Still" implica una acción continua por lo tanto el tiempo verbal que suele acompañar a
este adverbio es un tiempo progresivo, continuo, excepto con el verbo "to be", "to have" y
verbos de percepción (que no admiten un tiempo continuo) o cuando se refiere a una
acción habitual.
1. The kids are still playing hide and seek in the garden. Los chicos todavía están
jugando al escondite en el jardín.
2. I still have the book You lent me last month. Todavía tengo el libro que me prestaste el
mes pasado.
Va delante del verbo:
 I still taste the flavor of coffee in my mouth. Todavía tengo el sabor a café en mi
boca.
Entre el auxiliar y el verbo:
 I am still writing the proposal for the grant. Todavía estoy escribiendo la propuesta
para la beca.
O tras el verbo "to be":
 I am still angry at her. Todavía estoy enfadado con ella.

Ejercicio con for y since
Complete cada frase con la palabra correcta entre for y since.
