USER INSTRUCTION FOR COMPRESSED AIR RECIEVERS 27
FC: W16119374 -type: NN270Z -270 lt. -11 bar -Batch No.: 119374
To ensure safe operation of compressed air receivers, the proper use of same must be gu enteed.
To this end, the user should read following:
1) The receiver should be: within the rated pressure and temperature range as statecI on the cons ructors
plate and test report. The test report must be kept in a safe place. t
2) Ensure the receiver is complete with suitable and adequate safety and control fitting, which sh uld be
repalced with equivalent item in the event of a failure.
In particular, the safety relief valve must be applied directly to the receiver, and have a discharge
capacity higher than the air intake and be set and led at a pressure of 11 bar.
The relief valve pressure of bar should be indicated-with a red line on the pressure gauge.
3) The receiver should be stored in a well ventilated room, and not near heating sources, corrosi
vapours or infiammable substances.
The receiver should be situated on a level surface to prevent vibration fro,in affecting the vessel.
4) Genaral maintenance
a) the actuall thickness (after the corrosion allowance has been taken in to account) should no
be less than 2,45 mm for the main shell and 2,4 mm for the dished ends.
The vessel has minimum corrosion allowance of 0,4mm.
The receiver should be drained daily to prevent a build up of water, which may cause corrosion
of the receiver and could contaminate the compressed air system.
b) The receiver should be subjected to specified maintenance procedures which should include
checks for corrosion. This should be performed annuaHy or more frequently if the receiver is
operating in a humid or corrosive atmosphere. If in doubt consult manufacter for advice.
