1. Forma base del verbo: El infinitivo es la forma base del verbo, a menudo precedida por "to" en inglés, como en "to
run" (correr), "to eat" (comer) o "to sing" (cantar).
2. Para expresar propósito o intención: Los infinitivos se utilizan para indicar el propósito o la intención de una acción.
Por ejemplo: "I went to the store to buy some groceries" (Fui a la tienda para comprar comestibles).
3. Sujetos: Los infinitivos pueden funcionar como el sujeto de una oración. Por ejemplo: "To learn a new language is

4. Para expresar un mandato o instrucción: Los infinitivos se utilizan en oraciones imperativas para dar órdenes o

5. Con verbos modales: Los infinitivos se utilizan con verbos modales como "can" (poder), "must" (deber), "should"

6. Después de ciertos adjetivos: Algunos adjetivos son seguidos por infinitivos. Por ejemplo: "She is happy to help" (Ella

7. Después de ciertos sustantivos: Algunos sustantivos son seguidos por infinitivos. Por ejemplo: "Her dream is to travel

8. En frases infinitivas: Las frases infinitivas consisten en el infinitivo y las palabras asociadas, como adverbios u objetos.
Por ejemplo: "She decided to go quickly" (Ella decidió ir rápidamente).
9. Infinitivo dividido: Aunque es una cuestión de estilo y no de gramática, en inglés, es aceptable dividir infinitivos
colocando un adverbio entre "to" y el verbo, como en "to boldly go" (ir audazmente).
10. Infinitivo sin "to" (bare infinitive): En algunos casos, especialmente con verbos modales y verbos causativos (make,

12. Learn (Aprender): "He learned to swim at a young age" (Aprendió a nadar a temprana edad).
13. Offer (Ofrecer): "She offered to drive us to the airport" (Ofreció llevarnos al aeropuerto).
14. Hesitate (Vacilar): "I hesitate to make a decision" (Vacilo en tomar una decisión).
15. Manage (Lograr): "They managed to complete the marathon" (Lograron completar el maratón).

Verbs followed by a gerund
