The work was carried out in the company El Rocio S.A.C., located in the district of Chao, province
of Virù, Department of Liberty; in a period of three months, with the objective of determining the
effect of eucalyptus oil (Eucalytus globulus Labill) on the productive parameters of Ross308 meat
chickens for this, we worked with 180 male chickens, with a completely random design distributed
in three treatments: T0 control, T1 with 1.25%, T2 with 2.5% of eucalyptus oil respectively in the
finishing stage. The final weights of the treatments were significantly different (p> 0.01). The
treatment T2 obtained the highest value, 3.211 kg T0: 3.115 kg and T1: 3.111 kg that were
statistically equal. The consumption of food was 5,279, 5278 and 5,281 kg for treatments T0, T1
and T2, with no significant difference between treatments (p> 0.05). In the analysis of feed
conversion the application of different levels of eucalyptus oil to treatments did not obtain much
relevance since they were statistically equal (p> 0.05). The indices of productive efficiency were
higher in T2: 254,756 exceeding T1 and control in 1.67% and 1.75% respectively, these difference
being highly significant (p> 0.01) The benefit-cost ratio was obtained by treatment T2 with a higher
value of 1.33, followed by T0, with 1.30 and T1 with 1.29. It is concluded that the T2 with 2.5% of
eucalyptus oil obtained the best results on the study parameters.
