Participants of bullying

Agresor: se caracteriza por ser físicamente fuerte, con una personalidad impulsiva y dominante, así como con
habilidades que buscan manipular; no siente culpa por la conducta acosadora que ejerce. Este puede presentar
problemas personales y desquitar su estrés con alguien más, no es una justificación pero sí una posible razón.

Aggressor: characterized by being physically strong, with an impulsive and dominant personality, as well as
abilities that seek to manipulate; they don't feel guilty about their bullying behavior. They can present personal
problems and unload their stress on another person, it is not a justification but a possible reason.

Víctima: se le identifica como una persona tímida o insegura, con habilidades sociales limitadas y con posible
desventaja ante el agresor. Si no recibe atención adecuada, puede afectar su autoestima, disminuir su
rendimiento escolar o incluso la intención de abandonar la escuela. Como consecuencia también se presenta el
aislamiento, dificultad para socializar, depresión, ansiedad y en casos graves puede cometer homicidio o
suicidio.

Victim: Identified as a shy or insecure person, with limited social skills, and at a possible disadvantage to the
aggressor. If they don't get proper care, it can affect they self-esteem, decrease their school performance or even
the intention to drop out of school. As a consequence, isolation, difficulty socializing, depression, anxiety and in
serious cases can commit homicide or suicide.

Antisociales: son aquellos espectadores que apoyan de alguna manera el comportamiento de las personas que
realizan el acoso. Se ríen de las bromas, repiten las burlas, dicen a la víctima que se merece lo que le pasa,
consideran que la víctima es culpable de la situación por no defenderse y consideran que es cobarde.

Antisocials: are those spectators who support in some way the behavior of the people who carry out the
harassment. They laugh at the jokes, repeat the taunts, tell the victim that they deserve what is happening to him,
consider that the victim is guilty of the situation for not defending himself, and consider them to be a coward.

Espectadores: Suele ser el grupo mayoritario del aula. Son los compañeros y compañeras de la víctima que
conocen la existencia del acoso, pero no participan de ninguna manera, ni para apoyar a la parte que acosa ni
para apoyar a la víctima. Ante las agresiones deciden ignorar la situación y mantenerse al margen de todo. Sin
embargo, la pasividad ante el dolor de la víctima le indica que su dolor no te importa, y a la parte que acosa les
demuestra que su comportamiento no es tan malo y que pueden continuar con él sin problemas. No hacer nada
es dar poder a la parte que maltrata.

Spectators: It is usually the majority group in the classroom. They are the companions of the victim who are
aware of the existence of the bullying, but do not participate in any way, neither to support the harassing party
nor to support the victim. Faced with the attacks, they decide to ignore the situation and stay out of everything.
However, the passivity of the victim's pain tells them that their pain doesn't matter to you, and shows to the
aggressors their behavior is not that bad and they can continue doing that without any problems. Doing nothing is
giving power to the aggressors.

Prosociales: Es aquél alumnado que se posiciona de parte de la víctima y entiende que lo que está ocurriendo
está mal y no debería ser así. Por ello intentan ayudar a las víctimas de diferente forma: las defienden ante las
agresiones, las invitan a formar parte de su grupo de amistades, recriminan el comportamiento de los
acosadores, se lo cuentan a un profesor, etc.

Prosocials: It is those students who position themselves on the part of the victim and understand that what is
happening is wrong and should not be so. For this reason, they try to help the victims in different ways: they
defend them against attacks, invite them to be part of their group of friends, recriminate the behavior of the
bullies, tell a teacher, etc.
