ABSTRACT
It is important to note the need for the study "Children Peace Builders in attitudes of
equity and acceptance of difference in Colombian children in educational institutions"
(Alvarado, S. V. et al, 2006), who throughout his research shows the need to initiate the
process of intercultural education in children at an early age by building socio-affective
competencies that allow them to show empathy for their peers throughout their
schooling in order to educate peace builders.
In this regard, (Candau, 2013), states that:
Intercultural Education starts from the affirmation of difference as richness. It promotes
systematic processes of dialogue between diverse subjects -individual and collective-,
knowledge and practices, within the perspective of the affirmation of justice -social,
cognitive and cultural-, as well as the construction of egalitarian relations between
socio-cultural groups and the democratization of society through policies that articulate
the rights of equality and those of difference (p. 1).
Followed by this, other authors revalidate this by expressing:
"Knowing and investigating our realities from the perspective of integral peace, aims to
develop theoretical, analytical and methodological knowledge of peace, interculturality
and democracy in contexts of structural, physical cultural, environmental and symbolic
violence existing in Latin America, where States ceased to be national even in
discourse, and survive in the modern/colonial capitalist world system at the service of
transnational corporations" (Sandoval, 2016, p. 8).
The crucial to distinguish the validity, existence and effectiveness of multicultural,
looking from within violence, allows us to reconstruct the ways in which it is educated
seeking to solidify through dialogues and chronicles peaceful coexistence, where the
idea of focusing through interculturality seeking the development of a complete and
lasting peace is expressed.

According to the research shown, Education for peace and intercultural education
and interculturality shows the need to develop intercultural pedagogical practices that
promote peace and the culture of Peace are assumed and interpreted as the obligatory
nature of reinvention in associated and articulated practices carrying with them; identity,
as well as in contrast to be able to build knowledge and true practices linked to the
peace instituted for the people and social self-determination.
In summary, the context of education for peace and intercultural education is a clear
idea according to the cited authors, where the transgression of the idea of Peace,
education and interculturality is shown, being the object of exercises and products that
set the idea of building new concepts necessary to be able to solidify these universal
rights, getting through social studies and even in the ethical space, as well as the
political and with a convincing use and reflection.
The background information recorded allows us to formulate questions about how to
articulate elements of historical memory, areas of knowledge, among others, as part of
education for peace and the culture of peace, contributing to the construction of an
inclusive and intercultural social state of law through education?
OBJETIVOS
Objetivo general:
Proponer un modelo de eje transversal de Educación para la paz que pueda ser
implementado en el currículo regional desarrollado en institución Educativa Francisco
José de Caldas – Soledad Atlántico

Actualmente existe en casi todas las latitudes una necesidad de incorporar unas
herramientas pedagógicas al sistema educativo, aunque en algunos países a avanzado
mas en este tema de educación para la paz, en Latinoamérica y especialmente
Colombia estamos muy distantes de incorporar en nuestros modelos educativos una
verdadera educación para el fortalecimiento de la democracia que es el principio
universal de la educación para la paz.
