D) USE OF ENGLISH: ¿Cómo contar historias y anécdotas que ocurrieron en el pasado?

✓ TELL THINGS THAT HAPPENED: Cuando contamos una historia, una anécdota o algo que
pasó cambiamos la forma de los verbos. A algunos verbos les agregamos “ed”, por ejemplo:
sail → sailed. Estos verbos se llaman verbos regulares. En cambio, otros verbos cambian su
forma por completo, por ejemplo: break→ broke. Estos últimos verbos se llaman verbos
irregulares.

X TELL THINGS THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN: Cuando queremos hablar de algo que no sucedió
utilizamos “didn’t” antes del verbo, y este último no lo cambiaremos, por ejemplo: ✓ You
broke the cellphone → X You didn’t break the cellphone.

? MAKE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PAST: cuando deseamos realizar una pregunta sobre algo que
pasó usamos “did” al inicio de nuestra pregunta, por ejemplo: Did you break the cellphone?
