Cómo utilizar
este libro
Este material está diseñado para mejorar dos aspectos clave del idioma: la agilidad verbal
y la comprensión auditiva.
Cada lista de este libro se centra en un aspecto gramatical del inglés. Bien utilizadas, estas
listas constituyen una herramienta muy eficaz para consolidar los cimientos lingüísticos del
idioma. Para sacar el mayor provecho a este libro te recomendamos lo siguiente:
AGILIDAD VERBAL
Céntrate en el estudio de una sola lista.
No pases a otra lista hasta que no seas capaz de reproducir la lista en cuestión en inglés
con la misma soltura que en español.
Empieza leyendo tranquilamente las listas, pasando del español al inglés y utilizando el
CD para mejorar la pronunciación.
Poco a poco, puedes tapar la columna en inglés e intentar reproducir las frases a partir
del español.
Repite este ejercicio hasta que seas capaz de decir las frases en inglés con soltura.
Repítelo de nuevo al día siguiente, una semana más tarde, dos semanas más tarde y un
mes más tarde para consolidar la memorización.
Mientras tanto, puedes ir avanzando con otras listas.
COMPRENSIÓN AUDITIVA
Pon el CD como música de fondo (en el coche, mientras practicas algún deporte, etc.),
sin prestarle atención durante una semana.
Escucha el CD atentamente diez veces mientras lees el texto.
Escucha el CD sin el texto delante. Intenta reproducir cada frase en inglés después de
oírla en español.
Compara tu versión con la nuestra.
Intenta escribir las frases una por una después de oír cada una de ellas.
No des esta tarea por concluida hasta que no seas capaz de distinguir cada uno de los
componentes de las frases.
NOTAS
Verás que al final de cada lista hemos dejado un espacio para tomar notas. En él se incluyen
algunas explicaciones para recordar reglas importantes o para prevenir los típicos errores
cometidos por los españoles cuando emplean la estructura en cuestión.
