FUNCIÓN INVESTIGADORA

En enfermería como en todas las demás profesiones la investigación es una actividad que se lleva
a cabo con la finalidad de generar conocimiento. El conocimiento es la información que hemos
adquirido sobre las cosas (la naturaleza) y sobre nosotros mismos. Dependiendo de cómo se
realiza la investigación, el conocimiento puede ser científico, intuitivo, de sentido común entro
otros estableciendo los campos en que se considera que enfermería desee trabajar.

In nursing, as in all other professions, research is an activity that is carried out with the purpose

of generating knowledge. Knowledge is the information we have acquired about things (nature)

and about ourselves. Depending on how the research is carried out, knowledge can be scientific,

intuitive, common sense, among others, establishing the fields in which nursing is considered to

want to work.

 Realizar y/o participar en investigaciones en enfermería y otras áreas con el

objetivo de contribuir al desarrollo profesional y al mejoramiento de la salud de la
población.
 Divulgar y aplicar los resultados de las investigaciones, a fin de contribuir a
mejorar la atención de salud, la atención de enfermería y el desarrollo profesional.
 Coordinar, controlar y participar en la ejecución de ensayos clínicos en centros de
investigación.

 Conduct and/or participate in research in nursing and other areas with the

objective of contributing to professional development and improvement of the

health of the population.

 Disseminate and apply the results of research, in order to contribute to the

improvement of health care, nursing care and professional development.

 Coordinate, control and participate in the execution of clinical trials in research

centers.

FUNCIÓN DOCENTE

La enfermería como ciencia tiene un cuerpo de conocimientos que le es propia y específica y que
le crea la necesidad de trasmitirla. Por una parte la formación de los futuros profesionales en los
niveles de planificación, dirección, ejecución y control de la docencia. Por otra parte, como
profesional sanitario que es y como parte de sus actividades deseará intervenir en el proceso de
educación para la salud.

Nursing as a science has a body of knowledge that is specific to it and that creates the need to

transmit it. On the one hand, the training of future professionals at the levels of planning,
direction, execution and control of teaching. On the other hand, as a health professional and as

part of its activities, it will wish to intervene in the process of health education.

Las actividades de esta función pueden comprender:

The activities of this function may include:

 Diseñar, planificar y participar en programas de educación permanente para el

personal de enfermería y otros profesionales de la salud.
 Desempeñar funciones directivas y docentes en carreras y escuelas universitarias
y no universitarias nacionales e internacionales.
 Participar en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en la formación del personal de
enfermería.
 Desarrollar actividades formativas en los estudiantes ubicados en su servicio
teniendo en cuenta la composición del Equipo de Trabajo de Enfermería.
 Design, plan and participate in continuing education programs for nurses and

other health professionals.

 Perform managerial and teaching functions in national and international

university and non-university careers and schools.

 Participate in the teaching-learning process in the training of nursing personnel.

 Develop training activities in the students located in their service, taking into

account the composition of the Nursing Work Team.
