Según cuenta la historia, antes de convertirse en el Charro Negro, el hombre

debajo del traje era hijo de un matrimonio pobre, que, a pesar de todo, gustaba de
vestir de manera elegante. Debido a los pocos recursos de sus padres, el gusto
del niño era tal que en ocasiones no comía para tener dinero suficiente para
comprar sus cosas.

El relato cuenta que los padres del niño murieron, provocando que su situación
empeorara. Acorralado, habría tomado la decisión de invocar al diablo para pedirle
riqueza. Al final consiguió que el diablo apareciera frente a él, y de inmediato leyó
el temperamento del hombre que lo había invocado. Lucifer le ofreció una riqueza
inconcebible para dejar atrás la situación que pesaba sobre él hasta el momento;
sin embargo, a cambio tendría que entregar su alma. El orgulloso hombre no se
amedrentó frente al rey del infierno y aceptó el trato. A partir de ese momento el
charro se dedicó a gastar lo que obtuvo a cambio de su alma. Pese a que gracias
a ello consiguió la vida que siempre quiso, al paso del tiempo el hombre se olvidó
del intercambio que hizo con Lucifer. El diablo apareció nuevamente frente al
hombre para recordarle que la hora de cumplir su parte del trato se acercaba,
entonces el miedo lo invadió. La perspectiva de la muerte provocó que el hombre
buscara la manera de no cumplir con su palabra, y rodeó su hacienda con cruces
y construyó una capilla dentro de ella para evitar que el diablo se acercara. En un
último intento de escapar a su destino, el charro montó en su caballo y salió de su
hacienda. El diablo lo interceptó en el camino y castigó su cobardía. La leyenda
cuenta que el diablo pensaba esperar a la muerte del charro para cobrar su deuda,
pero el intento de no cumplir con su palabra ocasionó que reclamara su alma en el
momento.

El Charro quedó entonces condenado a pasar la eternidad atormentado en el

infierno; sin embargo, tendría la posibilidad de volver a caminar entre los vivos
para cobrar las deudas de otras personas contraídas con el diablo.
Además, si lograba que alguien aceptara la última bolsa con monedas de oro que
le quedaba del trato que él mismo hizo, esa persona ocuparía su lugar y entonces
podría descansar en paz.

As the story goes, before becoming the Charro Negro, the man under the suit was
the son of a poor married couple, who, despite everything, liked to dress elegantly.

Due to the few resources of his parents, the child's taste was such that sometimes
he did not eat to have enough money to buy his things. The story tells that the
boy's parents died, causing his situation to worsen. Cornered, he would have made
the decision to invoke the devil to ask for wealth. In the end he got the devil to
appear in front of him, and he immediately read the temper of the man who had
summoned him. Lucifer offered him an inconceivable wealth to leave behind the
situation that weighed on him until now; however, a change has to deliver his soul.

The proud man did not flinch in front of the king of hell and showed the deal. From
that moment the charro dedicated himself to spending what he obtained a change
of his soul. Despite the fact that thanks to this he got the life he always wanted,
over time the man forgot the exchange he made with Lucifer.

The devil appeared again in front of the man to remind him that the time to fulfill his
part of the deal was approaching, then fear invaded him.

The perspective of death uses the fact that the man was looking for a way to not
keep his word, and he surrounded his hacienda with crosses and built a chapel
inside it to prevent the devil from approaching.

In a last attempt to escape his fate, the charro mounted his horse and left his
hacienda. The devil intercepted him on the way and punished his cowardice.

Legend has it that the devil waited for the charro's death to collect his debt, but the
attempt to not keep his word caused him to claim his soul at the time.

El Charro was then condemned to spend eternity tormented in hell; however, we

have the possibility of walking among the living again to collect the debts of other
people contracted with the devil.
Besides, if he could get someone to accept the last remaining bag of gold coins
from the deal he made himself, that person would take his place and then he could
rest in peace.
