Actividad 1
Lea, escriba (en inglés) y traduzca (al español) el siguiente texto para realizar las
actividades correspondientes: (valor 6 pts)

1 Imagination and visualization

2 Thinking is more than just absorbing information. It involves a variety of mental

activities.
3 Most of these fit into the category of imagination.
4 Albert Einstein, one of the all-time champion thinkers, once said that “imagination is
more important than knowledge.”
5 He valued his ability to visualize and create images.
6 Many of his important discoveries and equations started there.
7 Imagination has been called “the essential tool of human intelligence.” With it, we can
invent new realities.
8 We can form mental images of something without ever having seen it before.
9 We can make up characters and look into the future. We can bring the past back to life.
10 There´s no limit to what imagination can do.
11 Imagined images aren´t tied to any specific reference point. They can come from
anywhere you want them to.
12 Your conscious mind is storehouse of thousands of images. How can you tap into them?
13 Sometimes the best way to do this is not to try.
14 Just relax! Many people get their brightest ideas while riding a car, walking, bathing or
showering, reading, listening to music, or dropping off to sleep.
15 When do you get yours?
16 Imagened images don´t always take the form of mental pictures.
17 In fact, only one person out of four is capable of making good mental pictures,
18 this doesn´t mean that the other three people have poor imaginations, they may be able to
imagine touches, sounds, body feelings, or abstract concepts instead.
