The Zehntner-Retroreflectometer ZRM 6006 measures the night
visibility (RL) of road markings as seen by a vehicle driver driving with
dipped headlight. The illumination simulates the dipped headlights of
a vehicle. The day visibility (Qd) of road markings under typical
daylight or under street lighting is measured with diffused illumi-
nation. This makes an objective determination of retroreflection.
Application areas
• For road authorities, road laboratories, manufacturers of road
marking materials, contractors and expert witnesses
• Determination of night (RL) and day visibility (Qd) of road markings
in dry or wet condition as well as ambient tempera-ture and
relative humidity, at any time of day or night, on the road or in the
laboratory
• For all types of road marking paints, marking tapes, thermo-
plastic and cold plastic materials - whether smooth, textured,
profiled, coloured, with or without aggregates / reflective beads
• Getting the best value - control of road markings after applica-tion

El retro-reflectometro Zehntner ZRM 6006 mide los valores de
visibilidad nocturna (RL) de marcas viales tal como las ve el conductor
iluminadas por su vehiculo. La visibilidad diurna (Qd) de marcas viales
se mide bajo luz diurna con iluminacion difusa. Estas dos
mediciones hacen una determinacion objetiva de la retro-
reflectividad de las marcas viales.
