Mi nombre es María Paula Moncayo Moreno, soy ecuatoriana, tengo un gran interés en trabajar con una
organización en donde ayudan fuertemente a empoderar a las mujeres. La equidad de género es un tema prioritario
para mí, ya que he sufrido de discriminación al ser madre soltera aun cuando yo cuento con el apoyo económico y
moral del padre ha sido muy difícil para mí el encontrar un empleo y me he sentido discriminada, por lo que es muy
importante insertar a las mujeres en un mundo empresarial ya que esto nos guía hacia la igualdad. Las mujeres
debemos ser lo que nos propongamos, por lo que se nos deben de proporcionar las mismas oportunidades, derechos
e igualdades de condiciones económicas, esta lucha por la igualdad de género la llevamos todos, es el momento de
reconstruir nuestras sociedades para que sean más inclusivas e igualitarias, sé que podemos acercarnos a los
hombres y a los niños para poder cambiar los estereotipos con prevención, educación y campañas de
sensibilización.
Sé que mis competencias son bastantes fuertes ya que puedo adaptarme y aprender de forma muy rápida, me gusta
ser eficaz y eficiente en mi trabajo trabajando con las metas y los objetivos de la empresa para poder cumplirlas, me
adapto muy rápido a los nuevos entornos, me gusta el trabajo en equipo, estoy segura que una de mis principales
características es tener empatía con las personas por lo que me mueve muchísimo esta oportunidad de formar parte
de su equipo, quiero ser una agente de transformación social para garantizar cambios completos en la vida de
mujeres y niñas.
En mi adolescencia media pude vivir en carne propia el acoso, el morbo y como en lugares públicos con mucha
gente se aprovechaba para tocarme mis partes privadas una escena que es habitual y repetida por un gran número de
hombres, esto dejo secuelas que me quitaron autoestima obligándome a sentir temor al salir a la calle y hasta
pidiéndole a Dios que me libre de mis atributos ya que solo anhelaba volver a caminar en paz, esta lucha no debe
parar nunca, se necesita educar para que estos comportamientos y conductas se puedan erradicar.
Doy gracias a esta iniciativa de spotlight, porque nos da otra posibilidad de luchar desde otro frente en contra de los
femicidios y la violencia hacia las mujeres y las niñas, ayudándonos a que haya una buena percusión del delito y a
educar acerca de la prevención de la violencia y el femicidio, se necesita impulsar a las mujeres a que dejen el
silencio, así como también tener un compromiso fuerte con ellas para asegurarles que sus casos no quedaran
impunes.
Tenemos una responsabilidad como sociedad de llevarles justicia a todas las víctimas, pero sobre todo de crear
conciencia para prevenir este tipo de actos.
Sé que América Latina tiene un gran camino por recorrer, esta lucha no va parar nunca ya que se lo debemos a
todas las mujeres y niñas que han perdido la vida, así como también a todas las victimas que aumentan día tras día.
Me encantaría luchar por esta causa y poner fin a la impunidad, por lo que necesito que me den una oportunidad
para demostrar de lo que puedo llegar a hacer capaz. Estoy muy segura de que el cambio es posible.
