2. PRESENTACIÓN:
Dominar con fluidez Business English es importante en el mundo profesional por varias razones:
Las empresas ya no son locales, sino que son cada vez más internacionales. El inglés es
imprescindible.
Esta es una de las habilidades más solicitadas por los empleadores, en la mayoría de
empresas grandes.
Desde un punto de vista puramente práctico, cuanto mejor hables el inglés, mejor podrás negociar y
relacionarte con personas de todo el mundo. ¡Podrías llegar a mil millones de consumidores de habla
inglesa con tu web! En otras palabras, si has pensado en crear empresa, no tendrá límites en su expansión.
Si la traduces del español al inglés, prácticamente habrás duplicado tu base de potenciales compradores.
Además, cuanto mayor sea el nivel de dominio del inglés de los empleados, mayor imagen profesional
transmitirás, ayudándote a la hora de hacer negocios con clientes extranjeros.
En el caso individual, un empleado que domine el inglés podrá desempeñar tareas de más responsabilidad
en la empresa, lo cual será de ayuda para ascender más rápidamente, lo que generalmente conducirá a
una mejor remuneración y mejores perspectivas laborales. O incluso a trabajar en el extranjero.
Recuerda que más del 30% de ofertas laborales exigen al candidato saber inglés.

Situation - You work at a company called “Frio Express” in Mexico. Your company transports
refrigerated goods nationally and internationally. At the moment you have several customers and all of
them are happy except for one. He/She is from “Meat Industries” in Dallas, Texas which imports meat
from Mexico and unfortunately every order that has been sent to them has had problems.

This situation is not good, your client is thinking about changing companies and using one of you
competitors. You are going to have a meeting where it is up to you to……
1. Reassure the client that all future deliveries will be without problems.
3. You need to maintain a good relationship with this customer. You want them to leave happy!
