Cada pregunta admite cinco posibles respuestas, tipo Likert, que se puntúan
de 0 a 4. Las seis primeras constituyen la subescala obsesiva y el resto la
compulsiva. La puntuación de la subescala obsesiva se obtiene sumando las
puntuaciones de las preguntas 3, 4, 5 y 6 y la puntuación más alta obtenida en el
par de preguntas 1-2. La subescala compulsiva suma las puntuaciones de las
preguntas 11 y 12 y la más alta de cada uno de los pares 7-8, 9-10 y 13-14. La
escala también proporciona una puntuación total.

PROPIEDADES PSICOMÉTRICAS
Fiabilidad:
Numerosos estudios1,3,6,8,9 han puesto de manifiesto las elevada consistencia
interna del test, con una alg¡fa de Cronbach de alrededor de 0,86 para la puntuación
total y de 0,83 y 0,73 para las subescalas. La fiabilidad test-retest también es muy
aceptable (0,96)
Validez:
Ha demostrado buena correlación con otros instrumentos similares como el
Alcohol Dependence Scale (ADS)8, el ALLCOMA8, Addiction Severity Index (ASI)7 y
la Escala de Dependencia de Alcohol (EIDA)2.
