Este primer bloque de 20 clases consiste en diez
listas de traduccin inversa de diferentes temas
gramaticales y diez clases de vocabulario.
Antes de empezar a estudiar el contenido de
estas clases con el libro, escucha los CDs de
audio. Cuando te sientas cmodo/a con los
sonidos y seas capaz de reproducir las frases y
preguntas sin demasiados problemas, entonces
podrs hacer uso del libro y de los textos. Es
muy importante que aprendas a conar en tu
odo y no en la ortografa de las palabras. Los
idiomas se aprenden a travs de los odos, y
no de los ojos. Recuerda que eres el tercer
miembro de la clase, as que usa el botn
de Pausa con total libertad y cuantas veces
necesites mientras ests escuchando el audio.
Cuando sientas que hayas dominado una
lista, ponte a prueba con una hoja de papel.
Dblala por la mitad y cubre el lado derecho
de la lista de traduccin, asegurndote
de que no puedas ver la parte en ingls, y
traduce del castellano al ingls. Despus
de cada frase, baja la hoja de papel justo lo
suficiente para comprobar si tu traduccin
es correcta. Cada vez que traduzcas una
frase correctamente, haz una seal en el
recuadro que hay a su derecha.
Con respecto a las clases de vocabulario y
verbos, asegrate de que entiendes todas las
preguntas que aparecen en el libro. El audio no
cubre todo el material, as que debes mirar los
textos antes de seguir a la siguiente clase.

No olvides que en ingls el sujeto de hay,
habr, va a haber, ha habido, debe de
haber, puede que haya, etc, siempre ser
there.
A diferencia de lo que ocurre en castellano
con el verbo haber, nosotros diferenciamos
entre el singular y el plural en ingls. Por
ejemplo: There is one problem, pero
there are two problems.

2. Hay varios problemas que resolver. There are several problems to sort out.

Punto Clave:
No olvides que usamos el innitivo sin to despus del verbo to make. Por lo tanto, decimos to make your eyelashes
look longer, y no to make your eyelashes to look longer.
Expresin clave:
Decimos She wears her hair up (recogido) o down (suelto).

Cuando una persona o cosa cambia de estado o
condicin empleamos el verbo to go: Your face
goes red (tu cara cambia de color).
Empleamos la preposicin on para decir que
tenemos freckles, spots, moles, etc. en la
cara.
NOTAS
No hay rastro de la letra espaola u en la
pronunciacin de la palabra blush. Presta
atencin a como la pronunciamos en el audio!
En el Reino Unido se dice spots, mientras los
americanos llaman a los granitos pimples.
