INTRODUCTION

When we refer to objects or something else, some of them can be count, others no. In this case we have to use expressions to these countable and uncountable nouns.

We use countable nouns when we can count them. Example: banana, strawberries, hamburgers, etc. the countable nouns have a plural form.

COUNTABLE AND UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS

We use uncountable nouns when we cant divide into separate elements. Example: bread, chicken, coffee, pasta, etc.
Usamos los sustantivos incontables cuando no podemos dividirlo elementos. Ejemplo: pan, pollo, caf, pasta, etc.

EXPRESSIONS OF QUANTITY
(Expresiones de cantidad)

SOME / ANY / HOW MUCH / HOW MANY

We use SOME when the exact quantity is not important. Also, we use it to make affirmative sentences.
Utilizamos some algunos cuando la cantidad exacta no es importante. Adems lo usamos para elaborar oraciones afirmativas

Example: In the box there are some bananas.

En la caja hay algunos pltanos.

We use ANY when the exact quantity is not important. Also we use it to make negative sentences and questions.
Utilizamos any ninguno, alguno, cualquier cuando la cantidad exacta no es importante. Adems lo empleamos para elaborar oraciones negativas y preguntas.

Example: The vegetables dont have any fat.

Los vegetales no tienen nada grasa.

We use HOW MUCH to ask about quantity. Also we use it with uncountable nouns.
Utilizamos How much cunto para preguntar acerca de la cantidad. Adems lo usamos para sustantivos incontables.

Example: How much water is there?

Cunta agua hay?

We use HOW MANY to ask about quantity. Also we use it with plural countable nouns.
Utilizamos How many cuntopara preguntar acerca de la cantidad. Tambin lo usamos con sustantivos contables en forma plural.

Example: How many oranges are there in the refrigerator?

Cuntas naranjas hay en el refrigerador?
