La frecuencia de lesiones nasales se identific como un resultado
secundario en un estudio que compar el CPAP nasofarngeo, el
Hudson y el Infant Flow. No hubo diferencias significativas en cuanto a
lesiones leves o moderadas con los 3 sistemas. Con el Infant Flow
hubo un caso de lesin severa. La conclusin del estudio fue que no
hay un sistema superior al otro. Un punto clave a recordar es que una
terapia exitosa con CPAP nasal se obtiene fijando de modo apropiado
el gorro y las cnulas o mscaras nasales y teniendo personal que sea
eficiente en detectar y solucionar las fallas y en el cuidado del
neonato con CPAP nasal.
