¿Qué es?
● La discalculia o dificultad en el
aprendizaje de las matemáticas (DAM),
es una condición neurológica que
dificulta la comprensión de las
matemáticas y tareas que involucren las
matemáticas.
● Incapacidad de realizar operaciones
matemáticas o aritméticas.

Tipos:
Existen varios tipos de discalculia que se pueden englobar en seis tipos (Gómez,
Mora, Soria, Betancourt & Herrera, 2016).

Discalculia léxica Dificultad para leer símbolos.

Discalculia verbal Problemas al enumerar cantidades, cuando se trabajen de forma verbal.

Discalculia practognóstica Complicaciones para entender conceptos abstractos.

Discalculia grafica Dificultad para escribir símbolos matemáticos.

Discalculia ideo-diagnostica El infante es incapaz de realizar operaciones mentales sin usar los dedos.

Discalculia operacional Es la dificultad para realizar operaciones y cálculos, ya sea de manera escrita o verbal.
