El poder de la educación para transformar
la sociedad
Para impulsar una educación transformadora necesitamos nuevas herramientas
intelectuales, emocionales y actitudinales más eficientes y congruentes con las
necesidades humanas.
La educación transformadora es una praxis
de la esperanza y de la solidaridad
Esta concepción de la educación genera una energía capaz de
romper con la espiral de indiferencia generada por la inseguridad, la
desconfianza y el miedo.
 Contexto de la práctica educativa: desaparición de lazos
sociales y degradación de las redes de protección

El esquema vital “vivir-trabajar-consumir” está sometido a unos patrones

que nos alejan de la naturaleza, de la cordialidad en nuestra relación con
los demás y de nosotros mismos, y que nos reducen exclusivamente a la
condición de clientes y objetos de consumo.
“Educar es crear libertad, dar
posibilidad al pensar”
La educación no se agota en la escuela ni en la
formación pero necesita vitalmente de ellas.
 La apuesta por la economía
solidaria y la educación
transformadora
La apuesta por la economía solidaria y la educación
transformadora se fundamenta en la ética de la cooperación
y la solidaridad frente a la de la competitividad y el
individualismo.
 Para conseguir que la educación sea
transformadora, tendría que incluir las
siguientes características:

 Una educación para la libertad

 Una educación para la verdad
 Una educación de la esperanza
 Una educación para la complejidad
 Una educación para construir
 Una educación para estimular
 Una educación para la formación
 Educación de la capacidad
 Educación en la creatividad
 Educación para la justicia y la solidaridad
 Finalmente, educación para la economía
solidaria y soberanía alimentaria
 Desintegración de los
vínculos con la tierra y la
cultura rural
Se supone que el sistema capitalista siempre
genera crisis cíclicas y en su dinámica de
recuperación y destrucción creativa
encuentra mecanismos para salir de ellas,
mecanismos que incluyen guerras y
calamidades.
Disolución de las familias y estructuras de acogida
comunitarias
Los conflictos entre generaciones se han modificado
sustancialmente por el dominio de la cultura de la
imagen y el consumismo que erosiona la cultura del
trabajo y la ética comunitaria.

Las nuevas formas de dominación van erosionando y
diluyendo todas las éticas y principios que se sustentaban
en la dimensión comunitaria o colectiva.
