Laboratory to do at Home. You must have it digitally in a file and in your class notebook. Take photos
doing the procedure and observation of each change of substance in the experiment. (150 pts)
Materials:
Process:
1. Measure and record the circumference around the center of the egg.
2. Record appearance.
3. Place the egg inside the jar (taking care not to break or chip it).
4. Cover the egg with vinegar and close the lid.
5. Observe immediately and then twice a day periodically for the next 36 hours.
6. After 36 hours you take out the egg and measure its circumference.
7. Compare the appearance of the egg before and after being pickled.
8. How has the appearance of the egg changed before and after being in the vinegar?
9. How has the appearance and size of the egg changed?
10. Save the egg for the next experiment. (You are going to use the same egg for the next
experiment.)
11. You must present photographic evidence of each step in each experiment, (you must appear in the
photos performing the experiment).
12. Prepare a data table, where you include the start date, time, and observations.
13. Then you will make observations twice a day noting the date and times for 36 hours. (In each
experiment)
Make conclusion based on the data obtained, you must use the vocabulary words that were given for the
task at the end.

Process:
1. Measure and record the circumference around the center of the egg.
2. Record appearance.
3. Add 7.5cm (3 inches of corn syrup) place the egg and close the lid and do not move the jar for the
next 36 hours.
4. Compare the observation on the appearance of the egg that was made in the previous experiment.
What caused the change?
