Significant situation : Manuel y Rosa del VI ciclo de la I.E. N° 81751 “ DIOS ES AMOR” , a pesar de la coyuntura de esta pandemia COVID19
se han propuesto pasar una Navidad diferente pero demostrando el AMOR , FE y ESPERANZA que los embarga por la celebración de la llegada
del niño DIOS.
Ellos se cuestionan que en estos tiempos muchas familias se han dejado influenciar por el valor comercial y de consumismo perdiéndose el
verdadero significado de la navidad la cual es de compartir momentos en familia , reconciliación ,de sentirse fuente de alegría mediante los
mensajes y peticiones de paz, amor y prosperidad y para conmemorar el nacimiento de Jesucristo (la llegada del niño Dios).
RETO: ¿QUÉ MENSAJE EN INGLÉS DARÍAS A LOS DEMÁS PARA REFLEXIONAR Y PROMOVER EL VERDADERO SENTIDO DE LA NAVIDAD?

Modern day Christmas in Peru

Christmas in modern day Peru is similar to most other
countries, in that it is a very special time for families to get
together and enjoy but it is on December 24th called 'Noche
Buena' when people celebrate it and on December 25th is a
day to spend with family, eating leftovers or having a day out.

People decorate the insides and outsides of our houses with lights. They use different decorations,
including wreaths and Christmas trees. People decorate the Christmas tree with special ornaments. They
assemble nativity scenes and the baby Jesus figure isn't placed in the nativity until midnight. People sing
special Christmas songs in main squares and people go to churches. Inside, people watch movies to
celebrate the Christmas spirit. They spend time finding or making the perfect gift for our loved ones such
as Christmas cards .Family gifts are put around Christmas tree. Families eat a special Christmas dinner
with turkey, pig, chicken, guinea pig or fish, depending on the region (Andes, Coast, Amazon). One tradition
that seems to be present in each region are Fireworks.

In modern Peru, the traditional Christmas celebration centers on the birth of Jesus Christ and follow
religious traditions and use this time to celebrate with loved ones.
