Weekends: IELTS Speaking Part 1

Latest Questions With Answers
Question 1. Do you like weekends?
Answer 1:- Yes, I do. I love weekends because I get enough time to rest
after a long week of work.
Answer 2:- As an individual who is among the working class in my
society, weekends are my best period of the week because that is when I
have time to relax from the stress of work.
Question 2. How do you usually spend your
weekends? Do you study or work?
Answer 1:– To be sincere, I do none of these. However, I usually watch
football either on television or go to the park and also have a lot of sleep
too.
Answer 2:- As I previously said, this is a period when I relax from work. I’d
only study when I have a professional exam coming up.
Question 3. In your country, do men and women
usually do the same kind of things on weekends (or in
their free time)?
Answer 1:– In my country, both sexes spend their weekend differently.
Normally, the males hang up with their friends at the football stadium or
watch football on the television, whereas females like to stay home with
their children, watch movies, and sometimes take some sleep.
Answer 2:- In my country, the roles for both males and females are
different. For example, in Nigeria, I am from the eastern part. The women
are known to go to the market to buy foodstuffs for the family, while the
men tend to relax since they are the breadwinner of the family.
Question 4. Do you plan for your weekends?
Answer 1:- Yes, I do. I usually plan most of my weekends because there is
a lot for me to do during such times, especially visiting friends, spending
time with my family, watching football, and others. As a result of these, l
always schedule my time for all of these activities.
Answer 2:- Presently, I hardly have any schedule for my weekends. Most
times, I relax at home to watch movies or go visit a friend.
Question 5. When do you spend time with your
family?
Answer 1:- Well, it is normally in the morning and the evening because
during the afternoon, I usually hang out with my friends.
Answer 2:- As a person with a 9-5 job, the only time I spend time with my
family is during the weekends or my annual leave.

Question 6. What did you do last weekend?

Answer 1:- Unfortunately, last weekend was a bad one; I could not do my
weekend hobbies because I traveled to a friend’s funeral.
Answer 2:- That is a very interesting question; on Saturday, I woke up
pretty late in the morning, performed my house chores, did my hair care
and skincare routine, prepared my meals then watched a movie. While on
Sunday, I went for morning service, prepared my food when I got back
and slept, then woke up in the evening to visit my friend.
Question 7. What do other people in your hometown
(or in your country) usually do on weekends?
Answer 1:– Well, basically, most of the people residing in my hometown
are farmers. Usually, they go to the farm on Saturdays and take a rest on
Sundays after church.
Answer 2:– My hometown is known for trading different products. In fact,
it has the largest market in the whole of West Africa. During the
weekends, on Saturdays, the majority still go to the market to buy items,
while on Sundays, they go to church since it’s a predominantly Christian
area.
Question 8. What are you going to do next weekend?
Answer 1:- Well, the upcoming weekend will be a tough time because I
will be studying and preparing for my IELTS. As a result, there will be no
fun for me.
Answer 2:- Like I previously said, I barely have a to-do list for my
weekends. But I believe I want to try something else, like visiting the
orphanage homes with my friend. I believe the experience would be
wonderful because I get to see little children.
Question 9. Do you want to do anything new on
weekends?
Answer 1:– Yes, I would love to go swimming at the beach, but
unfortunately, I am not residing close to the coastal belt.
Answer 2:- Yes, apart from visiting the motherless homes, I’d love to sign
up for a gym class to improve my lifestyle.
Question 10. Do you like working on weekends?
Answer 1:- No, I do not. I hardly work during weekends because I have
prioritized my time to rest or have fun with my family and friends after a
long tireless working week.
Answer 2:- Presently, working during the end of the week for me isn’t
ideal. I dislike any work that would take up my free time.
Question 11. Do you think employees should have to
work on weekends?
Answer 1:- Yes, but it depends on the kind of work it is because some
workers are active throughout the entire week, such as running
supermarkets, pharmacies, and fuel stations.
Answer 2:– Personally, I believe employees should never work for an
organization during the weekends; I believe that this is the period people
tend to bond with family members and also relax.
Question 12. Do you think that weekends now are
more important to you than when you were a child?
Answer 1:- Yes, I think they are more necessary to me currently than
when I was a child because my week is extremely tight with work, so I use
the weekend to do other activities such as house choice, spending time
with my family, and friends, and others.
Answer 2:- In my view, I think that weekends are more necessary as an
adult compared to when I was a child. Because I get really stressed out
from work and because I don’t live with my parents, this is the period I
visit them to spend quality time.

traveling, then we will give him a traveling bag so that he can use it in the
future.

Answer 2: Yes, I misplaced a bag when I was traveling. I left it in the
vehicle while alighting because I traveled with about four bags did not
notice the missing bag until I arrived home. I was confused and
exasperated. After a lot of thought and brain-racking, I couldn’t tell where
I misplaced the bag. Fortunately for me, I had someone’s contact at the
transport company, I called and informed them about the missing back,
and I was called the next day that I forgot it in the vehicle. I was very
elated at the news. I went to the park later that day and collected my bag.
Question 9. Do you think bags are more of a fashion
accessory or a practical necessity? Why?
Answer 1: Fashion accessory bags we can’t use in our daily routine lives.
First of all, the name of the store is printed on it, and if we are carrying it

Preguntas recientes de IELTS

Speaking Parte 1 con respuestas:
Compras
Pregunta 1:- ¿Cuánto tiempo dedicas a
no)?
Me
compras.
