OBJECTIVE: The aim of this topic is to analyze
the impact of different physiotherapy
techniques used in children under 2 years of
age with bronchiolitis. A systematic review of
observational and experimental studies was
conducted to evaluate the efficacy of these
techniques in airway patency, promotion of
bronchial hygiene, days of hospitalization,
oxygen saturation, clinical score, heart rate,

OBJETIVO: El objetivo de este tema es analizar el impacto de las
diferentes técnicas de fisioterapia utilizadas en niños menores de 2 años
con bronquiolitis. Se realizó una revisión sistemática de estudios
observacionales y experimentales para evaluar la eficacia de estas
técnicas en la permeabilización de la vía aérea, promoción de la higiene
bronquial, días de hospitalización, saturación de oxígeno, puntaje clínico,
frecuencia cardíaca, frecuencia respiratoria y necesidad de
oxigenoterapia. Aunque se encontraron resultados positivos en relación
con las técnicas de fisioterapia respiratoria, se destaca la falta de
suficientes estudios con metodologías robustas y comparables que
permitan llegar a conclusiones más certeras. Esto resalta la importancia
de personalizar y adaptar las intervenciones en la práctica clínica.

treatment of bronchiolitis has been
questioned, so a systematic review was carried
out to analyse the impact of different
physiotherapy techniques on this disease.
Six observational studies, five experimental
studies without a control group, and 15 studies

La bronquiolitis es un episodio agudo de sibilancias que ocurre en niños
menores de 2 años y está asociado a una afección respiratoria de origen
viral. El papel de la fisioterapia en el tratamiento de la bronquiolitis ha
sido cuestionado, por lo que se realizó una revisión sistemática para
analizar el impacto de diferentes técnicas de fisioterapia en esta
enfermedad.
Se incluyeron en la revisión seis estudios observacionales, cinco estudios
experimentales sin grupo control y 15 estudios con grupo control, que
involucraron a un total de 3,339 individuos. La mayoría de los estudios se
realizaron con pacientes hospitalizados, aunque también se incluyeron
