verbo principal en forma continua en ing para todos los pronombres sin importar el verbo o si es + - ?
Cuando se usa:
1.Para para dar énfasis a la duración de un evento que empezó en el pasado y continúa ocurriendo en
el presente
•She has been walking for you all day --- Ella ha estado caminando para ti todo el día
•I have been working on this video since last week--- He estado trabajando en este vídeo desde la
semana pasada
•She has been telling jokes all day--- Ha estado contando chistes todo el día---

Cuando se usa:

Cuando se usa:
1. Para describir una acción que ocurrió primero que otra en el pasado
I had read the book before I saw the movie --- Había leído el libro antes de ver la
película
Ariel had just left when you called--- Ariel acababa de irse cuando llamaste
When carlos arrived, the party had already begun --- Cuando llegó carlos, la fiesta ya
había comenzado
2. Para describir acciones que ocurrieron antes de un tiempo específico en el pasado
I had already woken up when alarm clock rang at 7 a.m--- Ya me había despertado
cuando sonó el despertador a las 7 a.m.
I had not been to france before the trip in 2017--- No había estado en Francia antes del
viaje de 2017

3. Para expresar situaciones imaginarias

- Sleep (Dormir) --- Had been sleeping (Habia estado durmiendo)
Cuando se usa:
1. Para describir una acción que se llevo a cabo en el pasado antes de otra acción que
también ocurrió en el pasado
• I had been traveling before I met her --- Había estado viajando antes de conocerla
• She had been working as a nurse before taking a job as a doctor--- Había trabajado como
enfermera antes de empezar a trabajar como médico-
• Before the test, I had been studying a lot--- Antes del examen, había estado estudiando mucho
2. Para demostrar causa y efecto
• Ana was very tired because she had been dancing the night before--- Ana estaba muy cansada
porque había estado bailando la noche anterior
• Juan was sick because he had been eating to much ice cream--- Juan estaba enfermo porque
había estado comiendo demasiado helado
• Karen was upset because she had been arguing with Carlos--- Karen estaba molesta porque
había estado discutiendo con Carlos
3. Para hablar de algo que habíamos estado haciendo cuando algo lo interrumpio
• Ana and Juan had been arguing for days when Maria found a solution --- Ana y Juan llevaban
días discutiendo cuando María encontró una solución
• Maria had been working for hours when fell asleep at her desk--- María llevaba horas
trabajando cuando se quedó dormida en su escritorio

verbo va con terminación ing sin importar el pronombre y el tiempo

Wait(Esperar) --- Will be waiting (Estara esperando)
Cuando se usa:
1. Para describir una acción que se estará realizando en el futuro y será interrumpida
• Ana will be watching the news when you call--- Ana estará viendo las noticias cuando
llames
• Dad will be cooking dinner when I arrive home--- Papá estará cocinando la cena cuando
llegue a casa
• I will be sleeping when Mom comes from work--- Estaré durmiendo cuando mamá venga
del trabajo
2. Para describir acciones en un tiempo especifico en el futuro
• Sofia will be living in Cali next December --- Sofía vivirá en Cali el próximo diciembre
• We will be working at 7 o`clock tomorrow--- Estaremos trabajando mañana a las 7 en
punto
• Next weekend I will be traveling to Miami at this time --- El próximo fin de semana viajaré a

3. Para describir acciones simultaneas en el futuro
