Vamos a trabajar hoy So do I y Neither do I. Os propongo un

ejercicio de traducción para practicar estas dos estructuras,
pero antes, si no recuerdas cómo utilizarlos, te aconsejo que
leas esta explicación: So do I Neither do I

Por tanto, así sería la regla:

– Agreeement (acuerdo) en positivo: So + auxiliary +

Subject: So do I

Recuerda que los auxiliares cambiarán según el tiempo

verbal que haya utilizado la otra persona.

– Agreeement (acuerdo) en negativo: Neither + auxiliary + Subject: Neither do I

– Disagreement (desacuerdo) en positivo: subject + auxiliary. El auxiliar irá en positivo.

Ejemplo:

A. I don’t like dogs B. I do = A. No me gustan los perros B. A mí sí.

– Disagreement (desacuerdo) en negativo: subject + auxiliary. El auxiliar irá en negativo.

Ejemplo:

A. I like pasta B. I don’t = A. Me gusta la pasta B. A mí no.

Éstos son los auxiliares:

Presente: do/ does

Pasado: did

Present Perfect: have/ has

Past Perfect: had

Future with will: will

Be going to: am/ is/ are

Conditional: would

Recuerda también que si utilizamos el verbo to be, no utilizamos auxiliar, sino el verbo to
be, por ejemplo: A. I am a teacher B. So am I.

Y aquí está el ejercicio, unas oraciones en español para traducir al inglés:

1. Nunca he llegado tarde a trabajar. Yo tampoco.

2. Quiero un café, por favor. Yo también.

3. Me gusta viajar pero a mi pareja no.

4. Voy a quedarme en casa esta noche. Yo también.

5. Lo encontré muy difícil. Yo también.

6. Aprendería otro idioma si tuviera tiempo. Yo no.

7. Él debería estudiar más. Yo también.

8. Mi hermano había comido demasiado. Yo también.

9. Mi madre ha sido enfermera años. La mía también.

10. Ella va a ir al dentista. Nosotros también.

11. Sé tocar el piano y mi hermano también.

12. No voy a ir. Yo tampoco.

13. Espero ganar la carrera y mis oponentes también.

14. Me encanta la playa y a mi pareja también.

15. Llevo estudiando inglés más de 10 años. Yo también.

16. No te preocupes, guardaré el secreto. Yo también.

17. Creo que las cosas mejorarán pronto. Yo no.

18. Debo comer verduras. Yo también.

KEYS:
