5 Los refrigeradores electrodomésticos y congeladores electrodomésticos objeto de esta norma
deben llevar una etiqueta que proporcione a los usuarios una relación de la energía que
consume este producto con relación a otros de su mismo tipo, capacidad y sistema de

deshielo./ Appliance refrigerators and home appliances freezers subject to this standard must
have a label that provides users with a list of the energy consumed by this product in relation
to others of the same type, capacity and de-icing system.
5.1 La etiqueta debe ir adherida o colocada en el producto ya sea por medio de un engomado, o C
en su defecto por medio de un cordón, en cuyo caso, la etiqueta debe tener la rigidez
suficiente para que no se flexione por su propio peso. En cualquiera de los casos no debe
removerse del producto hasta después de que éste haya sido adquirido por el consumidor
final./ The label must be adhered or placed on the product either by means of a gumming, or
failing by means of a cord, in which case, the label must have sufficient rigidity so that it does
not flex due to its own weight. In any case, it must not be removed from the product until after it
has been purchased by the final consumer.
5.2 La etiqueta debe estar ubicada en la superficie de exhibición frontal del aparato, visible al C

5.3 La etiqueta de consumo de energía debe contener como mínimo la información que se lista a C

5.3.12 Una barra horizontal de tonos crecientes, del blanco hasta el negro, indicando el por ciento de C
ahorro de energía de 0% al 50%.
Debajo de la barra, en 0% debe colocarse la leyenda “Menor ahorro” y debajo de la barra en
50% debe colocarse la leyenda “Mayor ahorro”.
Nota: en caso de que el equipo pase del 50 por ciento en el ahorro, se usará el valor obtenido
como valor de la etiqueta. Se debe colocar una flecha sobre la barra horizontal que indique el
porcentaje de ahorro de energía que tiene el producto./ 5.3.12 A horizontal bar of increasing
shades, from white to black, indicating the percent of energy savings from 0% to 50%.
Below the bar, in 0% the legend "Lower savings" should be placed and below the bar in 50%
the legend "Greater savings" should be placed.
