OBJETIVO INDICADOR O SUBTITULOS

• OBJETIVO: Explicar la gramática y uso del presente perfecto.

• INDICADOR: Explico actividades realizadas en el pasado que pueden llegar a tener validez en el
presente haciendo uso del present perfect

PRESENT PERFECT

El presente perfecto se forma a partir del auxiliar have/has junto al participio pasado del verbo. En la mayoría
de los casos, el presente perfecto se usa para referirse a eventos del pasado que tienen validez en el
presente. Es importante no confundirlo con el pasado simple En el siguiente apartado veremos con más
detalle los usos del presente perfecto.

Conjugation present perfect

I have listened to the song. Yo he escuchado la cancion

You have listened to the song. Tu has escuchado la cancion

He/She/It has listened to the song. El / Ella/ Eso ha escuchado la canción

We have listened to the song. Nosotros hemos escuchado la canción

You have listened to the song. Ustedes han escuchado la cancion

They have listened to the song. Ellos han escuchado la cancion.

Usos:

1. Para hablar de acciones que comenzaron en el pasado y que continúan o se completan en el presente:

They have been together since high school. (Han estado juntos desde la secundaria)
I have studied Portuguese all my life. (He estudiado portugués toda mi vida)
You have worked hard for the last six months. (Has estado trabajando duro los últimos seis meses)

2. Una acción que se ha realizado en el pasado y puede repetirse en el presente:

She has been to Italy once. (Ella ha estado en Italia una vez)
He has arrived late to school before. (Él ha llegado tarde al colegio antes)
He has failed that test twice. (Él ha reprobado ese examen dos veces)

3. Una acción que se ha realizado en un período de tiempo no culminado aún:

I have eaten eggs three times this week. (He comido huevos tres veces esta semana)
We have visited our grandparents 2 times this year. (Hemos visitado a nuestros abuelos dos veces este año)
They have taken 40 photographs this month. (Ellos han tomado 40 fotografías este mes)

4. Para hablar de la relevancia de una acción ocurrida en el pasado:

He has written several books. (Él ha escrito muchos libros)


The actor has won many awards. (El actor ha ganado muchos premios)

5. Para referirnos a experiencias de vida:

This is the best birthday party I have ever had. (Esta es la mejor fiesta de cumpleaños que he tenido)
I have been to 18 countries. (He estado en 18 países)

The Rabbit and the Turtle

One day a rabbit was boasting about how fast he could run. He was laughing at the turtle for being so
slow. Much to the rabbit's surprise, the turtle challenged him to a race. The rabbit thought this was a
good joke and accepted the challenge. The fox was to be the umpire of the race. As the race began,
the rabbit raced way ahead of the turtle, just like everyone thought. The rabbit got to the halfway point
and could not see the turtle anywhere. He was hot and tired and decided to stop and take a short
nap. Even if the turtle passed him, he would be able to race to the finish line ahead of him. All this
time the turtle kept walking step by step by step. He never quit no matter how hot or tired he got. He
just kept going. However, the rabbit slept longer than he had thought and woke up. He could not see
the turtle anywhere! He went at full-speed to the finish line but found the turtle there waiting for him.
